Theme announcement!
It's time to reveal the theme for the special edition in Kiev, Ukraine. With 35.67% of the vote, Best artist and second chance has won. But wait! There was a tie? Yes the tie was between the separate choice, best artists. So it can officially be combined to make Best artist and second chance!
Explanation of the theme;
"Best artist" implies that you can send the artist that got the best result ever for your country - most (if not all) active countries atm have been in at least one final but at least one artist got the best result for your country since edition #1. There is a list of artists made out and can be seen here
Now here comes the second part, Second chance If you don't want to send your best artist again, you can send a song from your country that participated from editions 1-19. So that means if you want to bring back your #5 entry for example, do so! However the ONLY restriction is that the song must not have won beforehand, which officially excludes:
Poland #1 (Ewelina Lisowska - "W StronΔ SΕonca") Finland #2 (Jannika B - " Seuraavaan ElΓ€mÀÀn") Armenia #3 (Sirusho - "PreGomesh") Mexico #4 (Paulina Rubio - "Boys will be Boys") Iceland #5 (Unnur Eggerts - "StΓ³lin Augnablik") UK #6 (Ellie Goulding - "Burn") South Korea #7 (Dami Im - "Alive") Norway #8 (Tone Damli ft. Eric Saade - "Imagine") Germany #9 (Madeline Juno - "Error") UK #10 (Ella Henderson - "Ghost") South Korea #11 (Dami Im - "Super Love") Switzerland #12 (Remady & Manu-L feat. J-Son - "Single Ladies") Finland #13 (Benjamin - "Underdogs") UK #14 (Kwabs - "Walk") France #15 (TAL ft. M. Pokora - "Envole Moi") Latvia #16 (Lauris Reiniks - "Can't Get Over You") Denmark #17 (Major Lazor, DJ Snake ft. MO - "Lean On") Ireland #18 (Markus Feehily - "Butterfly") Ukraine #19 (Olga Romanovskaya - "Derzhi Menya Krepche")
Any other entry (from your country) that participated is welcome. Most country pages are not well-up to date (for some countries) but the majority are up until at least #14-17. So you can get an idea of what is available. Take a look at the wiki here. For some countries, it may not be too up to date but take a look through the recent editions, it may help..
So in short - you can send your best artist, OR a song from your country that participated before (as long as it didn't win!)
A video for the YouTube users will be made shortly - there's no set deadline for entries but we do want to start around mid-March.
