Why can't you hold me in the street? Why can't I kiss you on the dance floor?

Not my fault to be abroad and not being able to vote. you could have told them for a replacement I don’t want to sound selfish, but the last thing I’m going to do while being on vacation is to say that I need replacers when it’s pretty clear, and that could be seen in both of my name and my group messages. If you say that that’s not a decent excuse because there are people who put “Inactive” in their names but they’re actually not, that’s not my problem. I clarified I was going to be inactive and I clarified I was abroad. I think that anyone with a logical sense of perception doesn’t need a lot of effort to understand I wouldn’t be able to vote. And I don’t see what would change in the case I had asked for a replacer, since you immediately got one after the deadline. Period.

You were on vacation, so how come I still noticed you were logged into the forum multiple times with multiple opportunities to spend just 15 minutes to put together a top 10? My single expectation for every single user who joins and submits a song for an online song contest is to vote in every occasion. You want to participate? Make sure you know what it means to be a participant. If you knew you were going on vacation yet still find time to log into the forum, what gives? Period. Dot. Fullstop. EDIT / ADDENDUM: I actually was not aware that you were even on vacation. It was not that obvious to me or any other council member. And even if you were away from home, we assumed you would find the time to still vote, which you seemed you had.

You were on vacation, so how come I still noticed you were logged into the forum multiple times with multiple opportunities to spend just 15 minutes to put together a top 10? The fact that I log into the forums doesn't mean that I'm actually able to vote. And no, I'm not going to spend 15 minutes to put together a top 10 (which actually would take over 30 minutes doing it from my phone), especially when I don't even have a computer, videos consume a lot of mobile data (which I'd rather save for more important for other things) and I'm spending day and night with other people. Of course, I did log into the forums and into the chats (and commented the fact that I was abroad multiple times), but there's no way I would have voting anywhere since I'm not going to spend the time I have in London to vote in online contests. My single expectation for every single user who joins and submits a song for an online song contest is to vote in every occasion. You want to participate? Make sure you know what it means to be a participant. If you knew you were going on vacation yet still find time to log into the forum, what gives? Period. Dot. Fullstop. Again, logging in doesn't mean being able to vote. And obviously, as your expectation for every participant is to actually vote, my expectation as a participant is to vote as well, but at the end of the day this is a game and my life doesn't depend on it. If you think I'd actually spend more than 30 minutes voting in an online song contest while I'm having the chance to enjoy a foreign city with my friends then you're wrong, and I actually doubt a lot of people in my situation would. EDIT / ADDENDUM: I actually was not aware that you were even on vacation. It was not that obvious to me or any other council member. And even if you were away from home, we assumed you would find the time to still vote, which you seemed you had. Excuse me, but how can you actually get to my profile to see that I've logged in and you can't read "Inactive (in London)" in my username? And for the third time, if you assumed I was actually going to vote for logging into the forums you were completely wrong.

And for the third time, if you assumed I was actually going to vote for logging into the forums you were completely wrong. Unfortunately, we don't think alike. You assumed that we would know about your status just because you may have mentioned it lightly and not through a direct message or post in here or in Random Discussion, and having none of those direct messages makes a gray area that is tough to decipher. Assuming totally makes an ass out of u and me. A short simple PM (that I know you could've done on mobile) along the lines of "I'm in London. Can't vote." (and knowing you don't live in London) could've prompted me and/or Greg to find a replacement for you. Many in the past have done it with no problem.

At summer I don't have WiFi, so I download the recaps of all the contests when I find WiFi and then I listen and cast my votes offline.
