I came back from my eternal abyss of elsewhere just to exclaim that Leander Kills were ROBBED
granted the performance wasn't as slick as expected (Leander can't just simply stay away from YELLING in his songs! also I missed the violin lady from the MV and the campfire aesthetic should have been on the stage. Oh and why the different violin part?) but ffs, THERE ARE SEMIS FOR THAT SO THEY COULD IMPROVE YOU KNOW. And maybe not have gotten those 7s??
Ah well, I will always and forever be devastated about the loss of this as hell. Millions of unsuspecting ESC fans will never get introduced to this and it's definitely painful imo.
With that lil-rant out of the way I am moving onto supporting Gergő Szekér's song. With my every single listen to "Madár, repülj!", it feels like I'm travelling through a magical journey of the unexpected (rap? wub-by beats?? EFFIN' PANPIPES???) and I don't wanna go to my "ház" (#neverforgetleander). Here I am, praying to myself I won't grow disattached to this song, even if that means that I'll be incredibly heartbroken if this does not go to Tel Aviv (or Fatal Error hah).
Hungary, you have one more shot left. Don't screw that up.

It's better if you update the poll as Petruska's song was disqualified from the final because of plagiarism cases. And I don't think that posting Wiwibloggs links on here will be any salvaging as Deban and William did THAT and somewhat 'TARNISHED' their credibility (despite the resident Wiwibloggs person from Hungary being a completely different man lol yea no), so I'll verify it with an article from a more underrated ESC blog, ESCBubble: escbubble.com/2019/02/change-in-the-line-up-as-one-act-gets-disqualified-from-the-final-of-a-dal-2019/And sucks to see I'm essentially the only Gergő Szekér fan in here, heh. Really hope he wins, eventhough there's Joci in the way and he might get drawn 1st to perform again because lol why do I know. Not to mention Gergő is one precious cinnamon roll I wouldn't mind if Fatal Error were to win last minute out of nowhere though, even if they qualified through televote from semis. Joci? Well I like his staging but the song's arguably less powerful imo than Origo was, despite him singing about his father on this one (and especially singing the lyrics he didn't even co-write??? lulz) and obviously that being a touching subject. Maybe I do see why people see him winning again though but... yeah not really for me. I don't hate it tho. It honestly feels like Bence Vavra is undertalked about for a 3rd-time-charm person that he is - got into the final only this year after 2 years of unsuccess, whether in a band or under a different stage name. Now he's there, he's him, he sings in his own language, confidently, and now is a finalist. András would be proud. The Middletonz - I respect them as people and applaud the song's composition too but the first drop pisses me off beyond belief at how weaksauce it is. Would want them for the Hungarian entrant/linguistic diversity in their history - the onstage The Middletonz are like only 25% Hungarian? (American half of András and the other dude's Dutch(/Iranian? if it's not Iranian then how can a name like Farshad Alebatool be explained??) And the song is like 5% Russian??!?? that's wow the other two acts are collectively nice but totally weaksauce and wouldn't seem that great of a choice imo. :F

RIP "Roses". Again my favorite didn't win That's a very unpleasant "habit" and nothing to get used to! :/ However I guess we all are at this point.
