Can’t believe that less than one year ago the fourth edition was taking place in Bolivia and now, less than one year after we’re already three editions ahead.

IT’S FINALLY HER TURN ~ Georgetown - 26 October 2019 ~
Because of Sabiyha’s victory in San Salvador, the head of delegation Kinoshita Ramayana revealed that his team had received around 232 submissions from Guyanese descendants around the world who interested in representing their motherland. Following our big selection, we can now announced that a totally talented British singer with strong Guyanese blood and... SHE IS LEONA LEWIS
Leona Louise Lewis is a British singer, songwriter, actress, model and activist with flagguyanese Guyanese descent from her father. She was born and raised in the London Borough of Islington in London, where she attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Lewis achieved national recognition when she won the third series of The X Factor in 2006, winning a £1 million recording contract with Simon Cowell's record label, Syco Music. Her winner's single, a cover of Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This", peaked at number one for four weeks on the UK Singles Chart and it broke a world record for reaching 50,000 digital downloads within 30 minutes. In February 2007, Lewis signed a five-album contract in the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. Talking about Leona, she isn’t a newcomer for sure as she was selected to represent the British countries in an original version of the contest, Own Eurovision Song Contest three times to be exact. She represented Scotland in #24, England in #25 and Wales in #35 but unfortunately she have never qualified to the grand final events. To represent the host nation, Leona Lewis won’t go solo for it, but she will also do it together with two electronic music producers from Europe, Hellberg and Madison Mars. In the grand final of the seventh song contest, they will perform the song “Headlights” together on the final stage under Guyana name.“Headlights” ~ Guyana in Own AmericaVision Song Contest 7 ~ Song by Hellberg, Leona Lewis Music & Lyrics by Jonathan Hellberg, Hanni Ibrahim, Katherine Pepper, Mike Kintish, Sam O’Neil
Official replacement video powered by Guyana Broadcasting Corperation can be found hereBest of luck to every representative and welcome to our Guyana!
