Shortly after the broadcaster confirmed nation's participation and rumored about a returning artist representing them in the upcoming edition in neighboring Mauritius, the entry was finally revealed. It is indeed a returning artist, and it's no one else than...

In her first attempt she finished 15th in the semi-final, 9 points behind the last qualified country.

Zimbabwe
Mutare, 24 October 2020 - After finished on eleventh place in the last edition, we don't see or have any problem to participate in the fourth edition of Own Africavision Song Contest, therefore, we are glad to tell that you can expect us to perform in everyone's neighbor Mauritius!
"Am I disappointed? Well, I can't really say I'm not, but, finished on the left side of the scoreboard and received more than 100 points is also a great achievement for us. However, end up in a good place or not, we definitely will not give up our will to win and will continue participating in the contest. After the results show I had discussed with the broadcaster about the way we will select our next entry and we had the conclusion that, for now, we will go back to our old banger route." said the Head of Delegation. After the discussion and the selection process, we finally have selected the next singer who will represent our country and hope to bring the first victory back to our home.
Are you ready to meet our next entrant? If yes, please welcome...

TUNISIA CONFIRMS! La Tunisie participera au concours! !تونس ستشارك في المسابقةTunis, Tunisia - 25th October 2020
ERTT (Établissement de la radiodiffusion-télévision tunisienne) has officially confirmed that Tunisia will participate in the upcoming edition of Own Africavision Song Contest, to be held in Mauritius. This will mark the 4th participation of the North African country in the contest.
After an expected bottom 5 result in Bissau, where Mariem Labidi was automatically qualified to the final, the broadcaster has affirmed that this will not discourage them from participating, and the search for the next Tunisian participant begins. However, ERTT has not confirmed whether or not La chanson tunisienne will make a comeback, or if the entry will be selected internally.
The team is accepting entries from both local artists and diaspora as per usual, but highly recommends that artists don't submit potato quality videos or songs.
Stay tuned for more news!
