EPISODE 6 · RESULTS It is now time to start with the judges' critiques. Starting with Marta Barta (CHAE WITH A C)!
Ika: When Demetres double fists me with his flute as we’re piping it up, I’m properly feeling that this is the song that would play. You know when they ask “What song do you want at your funeral?” Well, it should be changed to “What song do you want as you‘re double fisting the flutes as you’re piping it up”. This has everything everybody know I love, a Ukrainian girl rapping to a modern beat, which despite its massive beats, maintains those pipes all the way to the end and holds it through the song, and keeping its flavour. Wasn’t a full on ten, but you’re so so so close, and I know that you're begging for it, you're DYING for it.
Neda: Hey queen! Girl you have done it again. Constantly raising the bar for us all, and doing it flawlessly. This is, hands down for me, the best song of the week. A BANGER, the pipes and the rapping is a combination made in my personal heaven and this just slapped the whole way through. You completely nailed the task this week and you've proven once again that you are a force to be reckoned with in this competition.
Dua: Girl this was REALLY GOOD. This was my favourite of the week and I am already excited for you to pop off again next week. What a talent.
Thank you, Marta. Up next is Sapphire D. Lux!

EPISODE 6 · RESULTS Moving on to Miss Sapphire D. Lux (Josh's Tattoo (Inactive))!
Vicky: And of course we had to see an ethnic bop in this challenge. But I'm not complaining, this was really good. Great job on bouncing back after last week my dear.
Neda: This wasn't the most original choice you could've made this week, but girl it definitely worked for me. An ethnic wind instrument BANGER, that chorus still fucks me up to this day. Like I said, it's not the most original choice, and we are getting to the later stages of the competition where that becomes a bit more important, but good job this week.
Ika: As edgy as the DSR judges like to be, we have to love and appreciate an ethnic Armenian pop whopper on par with stomping our feet for Zoma Zoma. I loved how you interpreted the challenge to show us some ethnic wind instruments, as opposed to the others – and it worked out perfectly for you. My only drawback is that this isn’t the most original choice you could’ve gone with. I’ll let it slide this once since you’re a doll, but make sure to keep your originality in check going forward, because this may turn into your downfall if you're not careful dheighrl.
Thank you, Sapphire. Up next is The Carrot Tards!

EPISODE 6 · RESULTS Moving on to Miss The Carrot Tards (George J.)!
Dua: What the fuck doll,,,? I seriously hate everything about this song. Like,,, why did you send this? I'm like asking,,,
Vicky: Girl, what the fuck was this? I feel like I'm having multiple seizures and a headache at the same time. I haven't felt this dizzy since I was on cruise on board the Titanic. At one point I forgot this was an instrument challenge and thought it was meant to be a messy song challenge. Guess you nailed that challenge in my head at least.
Ika:
Ika Wong: Girl, we need to have a talk backstage, can you come with me for a moment? The Carrot Tards: Alright! Ika and the Carrot Tards gracefully stroll backstage Ika: What is going on with you in this competition? You started off so high and now it just feels like you don’t care about the competition. I don’t know what you’re serving me but I’ve seen you on your original season. I know you have the talent, and I The Carrot Tards: I fe- Ika: I’m NOT done. I am genuinely concerned for your wellbeing in this competition, week in and week out, it’s the same old same old. Again and again. Nothing exciting or new or fresh. You have to work yourself so much harder than whatever this is. This week, you know you had the banger from Bang La Decks, “Utopia”, right? You need to start making calculated decisions, and you need to do it NOW, otherwise your time in this competition is going to come to an end, and frankly, I think that’s what may be best at this stage unless you really give us some good food in the next few weeks. Please, please please take these words and learn from them, because I want the best for you. I always do. But you’ve got to show us that you WANT it. That you WANT this crown, that you WANT to be here and slay. Now go back on the stage, girl, before I call the military and have them hold a military trial against you for these crimes against humanity that you’re giving us.
Thank you, Carrot. Up next is Sativa Grahams!

EPISODE 6 · RESULTS Moving on to Sativa Grahams (agni)!
Neda: I loved this song and I loved that the wind instruments truly were at the forefront of the piece. The vocal bit at the end was really lovely as well, I felt like this was the first week that we've really seen you fulfil the potential you've been showing week after week, I think this may have been your breakthrough doll. Keep it up!
Ika: Not many people know that I’m a classical lady through and through, and girl, this was pure and raw, stunning art. Their vocals worked perfectly as they harmonised into a white woman white womaning. The first minute of your song made me think we’re getting an instrumental, which would’ve been great too, but these vocals are great. Sativa’s finally gonna get high as she’s piping up her bong and feeling herself do better than Indica the hag.
Dua: Honestly, this was hot. Like, this was on fire. It's not just a bop but it also really fits well for this challenge. Doll, you can be proud of yourself!
Thank you, Sativa. Up next is Agentina!

EPISODE 6 · RESULTS Moving on to Agentina (Tufkai)!
Neda: Last week you gave us a banger and I was actually so excited to see where you were gonna progress from there. However, this week you took a MAJOR step back. I'm kinda confused by this as an entry at all, it was a generic and unmemorable song and I'm not really convinced you really piped it up? It felt like any old EDM song with that kinda processed drop, not what we were looking for from this challenge unfortunately doll. I hope you can bounce back from this.
Vicky: I'm not sure what to think of this. A mess? A hit and miss? An unfortunate misstep? I haven't seen you mess up this badly since Week 1. It's sad given that you just had a great last week. I just don't think this song is that good nor is the instrument you chose that featured in the song nor does it stand out in a good way. I just found it messy.
Ika: Honestly, I think you should have tried to find a good song that had a nice vocal, and convinced us that the vocal was the wind instrument. You know? Because this... Absolutely horrid and utterly disappointing after your Anchorage slappage last week. One of the worst songs I've had the struggle of enduring this entire season, if not the entirety of Daniel's Song Race. It’s just so vapid, outdated, cheap, bland, dull, boring, dry, insert synonym here, and whatever the wind instrument was made me feel as if I’m about to get gonorrhoea after I’m piping it up on the lash down in Toronto. What possessed you into thinking that 'yeah, this is it. this is the song that's going to impress these judges so much and make me succeed this week'. I can't handle any more disappointment this week, Daniel, just do the results already.
Thank you, Agentina. Up next is Potissa!

EPISODE 6 · RESULTS Moving on to Potissa (jara)!
Dua: Girl. WERK! I would play this in Studio 2054, it's just that iconic. Fulfills the challenge perfectly, and the song itself snatched my blonde wig that I don't wear anymore because Future Nostalgia is over. Anyhow, love the song love the artist love the queen. Well done!
Ika: Girlllll, I’m so impressed by you! I feel you know exactly what the judges are looking for. Your song this week, it’s pretty amazing. You could hear miss Elizabeth piping it up just like her fellow Latvian sister miss Italix does with her weekly essay. This incorporated all the instruments I was looking for into a perfect, baroque time piece. I feel it in my bones that you’re coming to bring the heat to this competition, but at the same time, I can also see you go home next week. That's the vibe I get from you. Keep this consistency up so I can get these thoughts out of my mind.
Vicky: Pure art, that's all I have to say. Your song totally fulfilled the challenge while also managing to bless our ears with this wonderful masterpiece. And once again, you proved that you can take us around the (European) world and still serve the talent. Great job.
Neda: You certainly are on a rollercoaster ride in this competition and I do look forward to seeing what you bring us every week, good or bad. This one was pretty good! It definitely had a lot of wind instruments to it so I can't fault you in that respect. As a song it's not one of my favourites personally, but a good effort this week doll.
Thank you, Potissa. And last but not least is Alinka Tcheps!

EPISODE 6 · RESULTS And last but not least it's Alinka Tcheps (Sylwia)!
Neda: I can kinda see what you were going for with this but sadly the song wasn't really it for me. I wanted a bit more to be done with the wind instruments that just the drop and the song itself just wasn't on par with a lot of the other girls. You've been doing great this season so far, and I know you can do better than this.
Ika: No no no no no no no no. What is this? Honestly, if I didn’t say that this was appropriation, I would say that it is a bad song. And I'd be right. The pipes weren’t really here, honestly, I was feeling bored through the song, even if it’s a proper kiki. I was laughing the whole way through, but I wasn’t laughing with you Alinka, no no no. I was laughing at you. I’m unsure what possessed you into thinking that this choice was a good one, but it is not. I’m glad that you’re showing off yourself and your personal taste, but I hope that you can learn from this and expand on this. I hope that this is just a quick hiccup from you in a sea of success.
Vicky: I appreciate you trying to find a song that would actually fit with your musical taste and show us something you like. But I'm not really buying what you're selling. It's just not that good really, but I appreciate the effort.
Thank you, Alinka.
And thank you ladies! I think we've heard enough. Ladies, it is time to see who of you used their legs and piped it up and who of you dolls really did not impress the gaggle of judges.
