A new era After the previous Head of Delegation signed off his position, the broadcaster announced the participation of the country in Own Asiavision Song Contest with a new head for the delegation. His goal is to keep up the good results of the South Asian country which has 17 final appearances out of 19 participations. Last edition Jasmin Walia brought another 11th place to the country. The selection method of the country is yet to be decided. Stay tuned!
This means Papua New Guinea is free. I'm glad I managed to qualify at least 1 out of my 2 editions. I hope the country won't get lost now and will keep qualifying. Finally, big thanks to Dominykas for assigning India to me, I will give my best to make him proud!

Taiwan confirms participationTaiwan to be present in Oman following hosting stint Just a few months ago, Taiwan received the hosting rights of the Own Asiavision Song Contest 25, with the city of Kaohsiung being given the privilege to organize all three live shows at the Kaohsiung Arena which resulted in the victory of Oman. Today, TTV held a press conference at their headquarters where they congratulated the city's bar-raising efforts and hospitality on welcoming all 48 participating delegations to the island, as well as sending their compliments to the host entrants April Red and to the most recent winners No Wyld. As the contest moves westwards to the Middle East, the broadcaster swiftly confirmed their participation in the twenty-sixth edition hoping to continue their ongoing success.
Entry to be selected internally, artist revealed During the press conference, the surprise announcement that the next Taiwanese representative had already been internally selected was made by the Head of Delegation. After having newcomers represent the island over the past editions, the broadcaster decided to opt for a more familiar face this time with the aforementioned act being presented via a video message.
JVNA, whose real name is Jana Ma, is one of EDM's new rising stars. While living in California after moving from Taiwan to start a new life when she was six-years-old, she enrolled in a multitude of music classes which led her to develop a deep passion for music. College was the place where JVNA blossomed as a musician when her $1,000 prize from the Sound Logo competition in 2016 afforded her the equipment, credibility, and confidence needed to begin a professional music career as she released her first EP ‘Ethereality’ that showcased some of her early electronic sounds. She also started Twitch streaming where she'd record herself DJing, gaming and interacting. As her popularity increases, JVNA’s list of collaborators and guest appearances is becoming more high-profile, thus contributing to her selection as the nineteenth Taiwanese representative for the Asia-based contest. The song she will be performing in Oman is currently in the selection stages and will therefore be revealed at a later date.
Taiwan in the Own Asiavision Song Contest Prior to the twenty-sixth edition, Taiwan, officially the Republic of China, had participated in the Own Asiavision Song Contest eighteen times since their debut in the first edition. Taiwan has won the contest on two occasions: in the eighth edition with the song "Why Not Love" performed by Rosie Yang and Ryan Yu, and in the twenty-fourth edition with the song "Limelights" performed by G5SH feat. Lily. Since the introduction of semi-finals in the twelfth edition, Taiwan has, to this point, managed to qualify to the final eleven times, including three top ten results in the twelfth edition with Diana Wang and "Home" placing second, in the seventeenth edition with Lin Jia Yin and "Run" placing fourth, and in the twenty-fourth edition placing first. Having withdrawn in the twentieth edition and returned in the twenty-first edition, the country has participated in the final ever since. Posted on 23 April 2021 • Taipei, Taiwan

The Maldives will withdraw (I honestly wanna use another country, but if none are available, I guess I'm done with Own Asiavision for now).

NEW CALEDONIA ANNOUNCES PARTICIPATION AND SONG!Nouméa, 23 Avril - Tim Sameke brought Kanaky culture to the international stage in Kaohsiung. However, he flopped heavily in the final, netting a grand total of 11 points, 34 behind the nation who was edged out of a qualification by Mickaël Pouvin the edition prior, Papua New Guinea. Sameke's measly result, coupled with the first ever song to recieve over half of the sms messages across the island during the final, Desolate, just barely cracking the top 10, more Caledonians than ever began calling for the island nation to withdraw. However, Miho Aogawa, as the head of delegation, confirmed the Caledonian participation in the twenty-sixth edition of Own Asiavision Song Contest which will be held in Oman.
An artist has been selected to wave the flag of New Caledonia in Taiwan, and we are ready to introduce them to everyone.
Sandy Factory
Born in Belgium, Sandrine Mariaule, better known as Sandy Factory, is a Caledonian singer and songwriter. Suprisingly, she was only supposed to spend a few months in the nation when she first arrived, but she became enamoured with the local music and the island itself. Settling down in Nouméa, she bought her first guitar in 2007. Her first band, "Sky Vola" was formed after she spent 2 years as a backing vocalist for a local Caledonian group, known as "Le loup tape son boeuf". However, "Sky Vola" split up in 2015. Since then, she's performed as a soloist, and has become a staple in the Nouméan indie scene, a fledgling music scene.
And here is the song that will represent the nation of New Caledonia in Oman
Dis moi (eng: Tell Me)
3:19+ ~ NEW CALEDONIA IN OWN ASIAVISION SONG CONTEST ~
The Special Collectivity of New Caledonia debuted in the twenty-first edition of the Own Asiavision Song Contest held in Sana'a with Caledonian Marcus Gad and the Parisian Tamal, finishing last in the semifinal with 34 points. In the edition following, the broadcaster held the first ever edition of Musique de Nouvelle-Calédonie à, which was won by Linda Terii with Tamahine O Te Moana. Linda finished 14th in the semifinal with 54 points. A second edition of Musique de Nouvelle-Calédonie à was held for the 23rd edition. The national final was won by Patricia Ségui and her song Le Voleur. Patricia brought the island nation so close to the final, finishing 11th in the semi with 54 points, missing out on the final by a single point. The final was finally achieved by Mickaël Pouvin in Daegu the next edition, where he stunned the nation by going from the last nation to make the final, only finishing ahead of Sheppard and their song Die Young by 2 points, to an automatic qualifier, finishing 5th, ensuring Tim Sameke's performance in the final in the 25th edition, where he finished dead last, only gaining a paltry 11 points. Musique de Nouvelle-Calédonie à was put on hold again for the 26th edition, as CanalSat Calédonie revealed that Sandy Factory would represent the nation with her song Dis moi, marking the second time English is sung by the Francophone nation.
