Kinda ironic that United States withdrew when Russia is hosting Also, considering unofficial RWWWSC trophy: Because current holder of the trophy, , withdrew, 8th cycle is now over, and it's the shortest cycle so far, going on for only 6 editions. That means that 118th edition will be the first edition of 9th cycle that the winner will also be unofficial RWWWSC trophy holder.

The running order reveal!
Australia has returned after a longer break and United States haven't submitted in time to take part in this edition, but still have time to submit for 119th edition. Everything else stays unchanged and we continue to have 30 participants.

Continuing my thing with release years:
1981: La Malagueña
1984: I Can Feel
1985: Johnny Boy
1989: Peremen!!!
1990: Verdammt, ich lieb' dich
1993: The Flowery Heart
1997: Sonhos de menino
2000: Caur Sidraba Birzi Gāju
2003: Listen To Your Heart
2005: Străzile
2006: UFO/Take It Easy
2007: Solntse/Love will find a way/A Cup Of Coffee A Sandwich And You
2008: Warm cats/Lipad/Obey
2009: Kuivilla susta/Cette idée-là
2010: Not Giving Up On Love/Ase me/Agapi einai esy/Traktor/Sunset Song/Las puertas del pasado/Sabda Cinta
2011: When Life is Grey/Hər şey istəyirəm (I guess)/Shut Up And Dance
Also, some interesting things I found: "Lipad" is one of the songs from 2008 Filipino cartoon "Dayo: Sa Mundo ng Elementalia", which, quoting Wikipedia, "revolves around Bubuy who has to save his grandparents who were abducted and brought to the strange land called Elementalia, home to a host of strange creatures from Philippine mythology."
One of Azerbaijani representatives of this edition, Qan Qrupu, translates to English as 'Blood Type", which I bring up, because Armenia is represented by Kino, and "Gruppa krovi", or "Blood Type" in English, is one of their most well known songs.
One of the returnees of this edition, Tülay German from Turkey, may have the record for the longest time between two of her songs in this contest - "Burçak Tarlası", with which she represented Turkey in 65th edition, was released in 1964, and the song with which she'll return, "A Cup Of Coffee A Sandwich And You", is from 2007.

Flëur was a musical collective from the Ukrainian city of Odesa, being unique
for the Ukrainian musical scene. Flëur's musical genre is hard to define as it combines many influences.
Flëur originated as cooperation of the two singer-songwriters and the music still bears a tiny resemblance to the genre,
yet from the very beginning it was in a way different from typical singer-songwriter music.
Because of the difficulties with picking the right term for Flëur's music, the collective itself created the term "cardiowave", but when it comes to more usual terms Flëur usually gets labeled as dream pop.
