FRANCE I chose this painting by Paul Cézanne (1839-1906, the most important painter of the region of Marseille) entitled L'Estaque et le Château d'If, which shows the village of l'Estaque (which is now part of Marseille) and the islands of Frioul where the Château d'If was built (a former prison famous for its imaginary prisoner Edmond Dantès, the main character of Alexandre Dumas' novel The Count of Monte Cristo) Keywords: village, sea, pines, island

The NetherlandsI only found out today that this would be the topic for the new edition! So my apologies once again for being super late! It was quite difficult to choose a painting as there are many internationally renowned painters who come from the Netherlands. In the end I decided to go for the painting that many Dutch people are most proud of. I initially wanted to go for an older painting from the high Middle Ages. But I chose "De Nachtwacht" by Rembrandt van Rijn, or the Night Watch in English. The Night Watch was painted during the Dutch Golden Age. It wasn't just the Dutch economy that was thriving during this time because of its many international connections and the start of the Dutch colonial empire but art also flourished. Rembrandt van Rijn is the most prominent painter from the "Dutch school of art". He finished this huge (3.63mx4.37m) painting in 1642. The painting is very famous for its spectacular use of light highlighting some of the characters one the painting. I just found out the real name of the painting is much longer (Militia Company of District II under the Command of Captain Frans Banninck Cocq in English) And it shows eponymous company moving out, led by Captain Frans Banninck Cocq (dressed in black, with a red sash) and his lieutenant, Willem van Ruytenburch (dressed in yellow, with a white sash). key words: Army, journey, light, weapons, night

エーケービーフォティエイット - 風は吹いている AKB48 - Kaze wa fuiteiru (3:15+) Released in October of 2011, the song was created largely as a way to fundraise to help rebuild after the tragedy of 3.11, or as most of y'all remember it, the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, which subsequently caused the Fukushima nuclear meltdown, that caused nearly 20,000 deaths. The song and music video have a much more somber tone than the other songs the group released in 2011 (such as Sakura no ki ni narō, Everyday Katyusha, Flying Get, and Ue kara Mariko), and this song wouldn't exist without the disaster, which member Matsui Jurina said in an interview in 2011.

English TranslationOh, how sweet and how cool! Blow in the morning, shepherd! Gurgling on the flowers And the hair of the virgin is soft, But you are not, pastor, my compatriot, Go, cross my heart openly.
Oh, how salty and heartbreaking! Sing from the tree, bird! Hours of love in the forest They admired your voice. But you are not, bird, my homeland, Go, sing with your heart open.
Oh, what a murmur you make, you bastard! Deliberate and hardy, Dry in your mirror We looked at the rose and the girl. But you are not a tributary of my homeland, Go, let my heart flow openly.
Although the bird and the Armenian wind On the ruins Although the turbid tributary is Armenian It creeps into the fir trees, They are a groan of the homeland, They did not open my heart.

FRANCE I have no idea if this song will be the first reaching top 8 for France in this terrible decade or just put the nail in the coffin but at least I'm sure there will be no endless debate about its eligibility. The painting I drew was Armenian Landscape and one of the keywords was "mountain" and I'm sending Les Montagnes d'Arménie (The Mountains of Armenia) by Patrick Fiori. His birthname was Patrick Chouchayan, since his father is from the Armenian diaspora - the family flew from Armenia because of the genocide. He later switched to his mother's family name. The song Les Montagnes d'Arménie was released in 2008 with the album Les Choses de la Vie - made of covers of movie songs and of songs using movie anthems. Les Montagnes d'Arménie belongs to the second category as it originally was an instrumental created for the movie Mayrig (with the legend Claudia Cardinale), the first part of an autobiographic diptych that ends Henri Verneuil's career. Henri Verneuil's real name was Achod Malakian. He arrived in Marseille in 1924 with his family after the genocide. The fact that both Patrick Fiori and Henri Verneuil are both connected to Marseille is not very surprising: most of the Armenians who came to France arrived in Marseille and many of them stayed there. Armenians are still today one of the main communities of the city. Timeslot: 1:40

So, for the second time in a row, I'm sending a very important figure in Russian rock history: DDT"Ne strelyay!" Translation: "Don't shoot!"
This is an anti-war song written in 1980 after author Yuri Shevchuk met with his classmate Victor Tyapin, who talked to him about his experience in Afghan War, which sharply diverged from official point of view. As Shevchuk said himself, "At that time we were told that we were building kindergartens there ... But in fact there was a war." Later DDT toured different places of armed conflicts, such as Chechnya, Tajikistan, Yugoslavia and South Ossetia. Song itself focuses on a boy who gained an interest in weapons and was sent to a war, experience of which gave him moral trauma.
