Shovkovskyi/Peter the results weren't political at all! If the voting would've been political both we and you would've qualified, and  Moldova too, in fact all the eastern countries that failed plus the ones that advanced (  Russia,  Ukraine,  Armenia and  Azerbaijan). 2011 was a "special" year and you can already tell it by its winner  . Not only  Latvia didn't qualify, but  Poland and  Norway which were favourites failed miserably  Ok, maybe it wasn't a political voting, but I'll have to disagree with you that all eastern block would've qualified - we wouldn't, because from eastern block countries only Estonia, Lithuania & Georgia gives us points. From all years that we failed Russia, Belarus, Ukraine gave us points only once, also Azerbaijan was once if i remember correct, but those weren't of course high points... And for other semifinalists - I don't remember when last time Spain, France, Sweden, Denmark, Albania, Iceland or other countries have given us points... Eastern block isn't friendly voting for us - for you maybe, but not for us... as I mentioned previous our friendly voting countries are Estonia (was the only one in this semi), Lithuania, Georgia, Ireland, UK, sometimes Finland, Malta. As you can see it wasn't a good view for us to countries that we have in our semi. I think it would've been enough if Uk would've been allowed to vote in this semi... And also problem for us is that even if someone likes our song - they don't vote for it, because they think we'll fail anyways, so it's not even worth voting - especially I can say this about yesterday... so many surprisingly good tweets on twitter, but I think maybe only one or two of these people voted for us... That I think was also a problem in 2011... That's how it looks from our view... you and others probably have other view... |

Shovkovskyi/Peter Iceland gave Latvia 3 points last year and Latvia probably got points from us this year as well, at least all the people I know like "Cake to bake". ok, thank you for that... I just forgot about it... but Iceland anyways isn't a big supporter for us, so we can't call you yet our friendly voting country, but I hope we will after few years  From last year we can call only Georgia our friendly voting country, because they gave us  from our 13... But that only proves how good relationship we have with Georgia... |
