 THE ESTONIAN STATEMENTToday, 22nd of May 2014, ERR took an interview of the HoD, MR. Hellesburgh Bogdan about the participation of Estonia in the following editions of Estonia.
Mr. Hellesburgh : "Hello NBU, this is Tallinn calling. Estonia just found out thet we had the 4th non-qualification with the 1st finnish song. To be honest, all the delegation watched the results and most of them voted for a withdrawl. I can't do anything for this, even if I think that this reason is not good...
But here come the fans that sent us love letters, saying that a non-qualification shouldn't be the reason for a witdrawl. One of them, a very popular artist, said "we have to aim ourselves after this tragedy. We have to show Europe that we can now even if we couldn't then.", I read the letter in front of the delegation and we decided that, after we will confirm and have the 9th participation of Estonia in NVSC.
But we still have 2 problems : 1. Money - this could be ok, we can find sponsors and also, some artists promised us to pay some taxes if we choose them to participate. the 2nd problem - the selection - the Internal got also the best, but the worst, NS - the best and the worst - we are a bit confused and we don't really know what should we do. Here comes again you, dear fan ! Send us a letter with how do you want the song to be selected. 2 days, until 24th May, you can send your ideas. We will select the ones that fit the best. We will open then a poll and decide the selection. We acn also announce that no matter how the selection process will go, miss Liis Lemsalu will participate in teh final, as she offered to pay some taxes and wrote already 2 songs." |

 CLAUDIA SCHANZA IN MOLDOVA? Queen of Northvision, Claudia Schanza, was detected together with Pasha Parfeny (ESC 2012) entering the Headquarters of TRM. Also, other people, such as the host Katy Rain were dectected. She seemed very angry and frustrated, as she tried burning herself (together with her 'boy'). Karizma (Sansa ta senior), Cristina Scarlat (ESC 2014), Alexandrina (NVSC 3) and Helena Paparizou (flop of Melodi/fantasifestivalen) were quickly rushing into the building the day aswell. What's going on in Chisinau? |

 largelebanondiamond LBC Europe has made a decision to keep on taking part NVSC since it's one of the most top watched show in Lebanon & will resume it's selection but rumors about a new national selection for Lebanon and a new style to choose the Lebanese entry more to be found out later in month. |

  News from Kazakhstan!
Today, Dinara arrived home in Astana.
"This was the most amazing experience of my life," she commented. "I'm go grateful for being there in Sarajevo and enjoying the experience - who cares about the fact I didn't qualify, is that even of importance to the people? Is it disappointing? Yes, but I'm happy I got to perform in front of such a large audience. I don't supposed we will withdraw?"
No confirmation has yet been officialized - but the Head of Delegation, Mark N.K. said that a confirmation is most likely.
"We are not confirming just yet - our broadcaster is undergoing major changes and a confirmation at this point would be silly - but we can say that we won't be giving up yet!" |
