RTE can confirm that Ireland will be using an NS for the fourth edition in a row, but with a new format.

Music industry professionals will be able to apply to RTE and get the option of sponsoring one of two presented acts, with whom they will work with to pick a song that will compete to represent Ireland in NVSC9. The music industry professional, will then present votes as a jury member in the NS, to be combined with a televote aspect.

For example, you'd put forward a person from your country in NVSC (this can include assassinate broadcasters of the NBU), and I would reply to you with two acts you could choose from. A while later you'd select a song from them to take part in the NS with
