Hera after the results were shown.

The

Icelandic singer just won Söngvakeppni Sjönvarpsins and will now wave the

Icelandic flag among 44 other countries in

Oslo this year. Being the 2nd favourite in both Jury and Televoting helped her to reach the first place, and she's now celebrating at the after-party. Hera will sing "Because You Can" in

Oslo and hopes to bring Iceland a good place this time! All the RUV team wishes good luck to her!

Sigrun Vala

Young and ambitious, Sigrun Vala starts to feel the success vibe just now. Being 1st in the Televoting didn't help her to the first place in the combined results, but she has now an assured place to Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix in

Torshavn. NMGP is a little competition where only 6 artists from 6 nordic countries compete, but it will be a great opportunity for Sigrun to test her abilities and get known in the Scandinavian music industry. Sigrun has released 3 songs, one of which ("Ekki Gera Neitt") who came second in the National Selection will be also the one that Sigrun will sing at the

Tórsvøllur next week.
