  DR REVEALS DMGP 06 FORMAT!After the country's confirmation, DR has also revealed the format of their sixth selection, the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 06. The format is similar to the past two editions of the selection with slightly changes. The songs announcement will start on 28 July and the results are expected to be revealed in mid-August.

RUV Iceland has found at least two sponsors to keep on participating in the contest!
Dagblaðið Vísir, a tabloid magazine within the Icelandic borders just published today the names of two sponsors that are likely to fund the Icelandic participation in the contest for at least two editions. According to the newspaper, the organization of the third edition of the internal music festival Söngvakeppnin, the participation at Northvision and NMGP, followed by the World Cup's broadcasting rights and other internal shows, have driven RUV into deep debts towards the old sponsors. The Icelandic magazine also quoted one of the former RUV managers who last year just stated that "both Söngvakeppni and Northvision are a must for the country". Many people and Northfans around the country are now hoping for RUV to finally confirm for the tenth edition as well. |

 Today, the HoD has Confirmed the  Andorran Participation in the tenth Edition of NVSC. Due to the delay, MiA #3 won't be hosted, and the song has already been chosen by RTVA, still following the rules, the entry will be announced some days after the Final Results.
Some hints about the song will be revealed soon! |
