How can you get bored of a song you used to love?   I really loved  "Little Talks" back in 2012 and everytime I hear this song in a contest I can't reduce it to give it points.  It is boring, because some players just take it because they know, that this is a song who gets many points ._. I don't want to vote for songs, which are too successfully. But maybe they send it just because they like the song. Not because they especially want good results or something.  |

That's the sad point. It is really boring, to send a song which was in 50 contests and got good places in 40 of them. Example "Burn" from Ellie Goulding. I love it, but after I saw it to often, I didn't vote for it, because it was just boring to see this again. ikr. 1. I don't even like this song anymore (old, overplayed) 2. And that's the point I am luckily NVSC has (and my contest gets it ) : Orignality. I don't think that my choice this time was original, but not overused. srsly... give a chance to new and better and original songs than to a song which won 10 other contests. What is wrong with old songs? Everyone only likes new songs from some months old... that's weird. Not every day can bring a new, fantastic song.  Maybe it's your opinion that newer songs are better and more original but to be honest, often new songs remind me of older songs I've at least heard once. In that case I would personally prefer something which is more unique.  |

I don't think Iceland will win honestly. For me there was better ones I mean I did give you some points but I think someone else will win |

I will never be so low to choose a song just for winning. If you have seen more contests where I am in you know I do not fear ending in the lowest spots. (e.g. Music meets Football, Fabulous Song Contest, AfricaVision, FoM, watch them! I just send music I like and don't bother if it's overused) And you know where I get bored of: people who whine about songs other people sent. |

My songs has been called "overused" sometimes too but I don't really mind it; I just want to send what I like.  |

I just send music I like and don't bother if it's overused) I said some players make that it is ok if you want to send overused songs, because you like them, but then you have to know, that some people (including myself) won't vote for it. If you send original songs, I'll probably give some points, but for overused songs normally not :/ |

In that case I would personally prefer something which is more unique. What it really comes down to is if the player likes it, and he seems to so what's the problem? Personally, I've played overused songs in some contests because I want to do well, but I also have to love the song. Other times, I pick specific songs for different contests, but I always make sure that I love the song. So as long as the player likes his song, that's fine, even if it's a little overused. At the same time, it's up to each of us to decide as voters if the overuse matters, and while it doesn't bother me too much, it's fine if it bugs you. P.S. I didn't vote for it, but thats just because I wasn't a fan of the song. |
