Exactly... I don't really like that big Semifinals... each to their own but I just don't really feel like that's something realistic, what I want  I will think about it the next days as I said  But why should it be that realistic? I like a few influences of realism in the contest, but in my opinion it shouldn't become too much. :/ Another point is that voting becomes pretty hard in the Semifinals with more and more songs... I mean... look at the SF #1 of #16... and with big Semifinals, some countries will never qualify. With a pre-elemination, there would be at least a little chance |

You probably cant. You could only make the last places sit out in the next edition or a PQR like in NVSC, but Im against this. Bigger semis make the quality in the final higher and thats why I like them.  The best solution of course!  Just take big semi finals. They aren't really awful... to be honest I don't really mind it if I wouldn't qualify. I think a stronger final is way more important.  I also agree  |

I also agree Could be a solution too but it doesn't seem really fair to me. I stay with the opinion that the size of the semi finals shouldn't matter. To be honest I think it'll support the participants to send even better songs since it would be more difficult to qualify for the grand final. I think the same should've happened in the  North Vision Song Contest instead of the Pre-Qualify Round but all right. |

As IMF #15 reaches the number of 54 participants, I wanna discuss this topic with you here. When I banned the out-of-europe-countries, my goal was to have less participants. It worked for IMF #13 , I lost 15 countries. But in IMF #14, the number already grew up and stays at 54 right now. This is too much. As having 26 finalists (6 automatical qualified), 20 countries from the Semifinals will join. That means , by having 54 countries, 54-8=48/2=24. 14 countries from each Semifinal would be eleminated, in total 28, even more than the actual finalists, and that's not a good concept for the future So, the perfect number is 46, having 6 pre-qualified countries, makes 40 Semifinalists, 20 in each Semifinal, 10 qualifying , gives you a 50% chance of qualifying. But how can this number of 46 participants be reached? And that's what I am asking to you right now. How? You can discuss about this and suggest ideas here. There may be a poll if there are several ideas.
