 Artist #9  Granted permission by the Head of the NVSC Council Mr Jan - the UK are
pleased to announce that due to her mother being of original birth in  Scotland, Samantha Jade - despite being born in  Australia herself - will be a NORMAL COMPETITOR as she, through DNA, is half-Scottish and thus through technicalities also is half-British and eligible to compete as a normal contestant.
The Fellow Commonwealth Act has been chosen but will be announced in due course.

Artist #10 Loved by the nation for his music and television work with "the xtra factor" - Mr Murs has said in the past that if he was to take part in a contest, it would be Eurovision for the UK. However we're thrilled to announce that he has signed a contract to take part in our National Selection for NVSC 12. The song he will be performing is his new single "wrapped up".

Artist #11 Taking part in this edition's NS is upcoming artist Kwabs. With a soothing voice and good range, he is pleased to have been approached by the BBC NVSC UK team after he was suggested from the Head of Delegation Mr Matt from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Artist #12 Born in the UK of  Iranian descent. TĀLĀ grew up with inspiration from Iranian pop music and UK garage music. She has combined her inspiration together and made a fusion of the two cultures, with a strong beat to her music with use of Iranian style vocals in the middle of her song, TĀLĀ hopes to help showcase the diverse cultures that we have in the modern-day United Kingdom.

Artist #13 Back by popular demand from our UK viewers, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is thrilled to be asked to be a part of the National Selection once more. When we asked Cheryl what would happen if she got bad tweets or comments from people, she said "three words - I. Don't. Care. ".

Artist #15 She says it herself in her entry - "they always comeback" - and she has. Ella will be performing her song "comeback" as a new attempt in this National Selection.

Artist #16 Continuing with the theme of different styles of music for this National Selection sees the entry of symphonic rock/metal band Globus. After suggestions to the NVSC UK team, the band will be entering with their song "take me away" sang by the lead vocals of Dann Pursey.
