I didn't mean the running order, but where the favorites are in the draw (in ESC it always mean something)... I still believe in my entry, but let's be realistic - if it didn't made it through automatically, what's the chance it will do very well if it'll qualify?? Yes, I know you want to remind me about Croatia's luck (3rd place in final qualifying from 2nd chance), but miracles like this doesn't happen often... There's a saying in Latvia - Hope is fools consolation. And it's not meant offensive. It's just a saying... But there's also a small part of truth, so... I don't think there are any clear favorites tbh with you If France were a favorite, they would've made it directly Plus I guess ESC is totally different to our contest ; here it's only the song, in ESC it's also the performance etc. And let's not forget neighbourly/diaspora voting

If you mean that it's way more obvious in ESC,then indeed...But it's rather logical to me, especially since neighboring European countries might have similar cultures etc. Still, the fact that it isn't really obvious here makes me feel proud of our players

I'd say Latvian results here are fantastic compared to what I used to get when I played with Latvia in some other contests my highest result was like 15th in the semi and you even manage to qualify somewhere I decided to play as Latvia in a contest We'll see what happens If I do too good Shovkovskyi/Peter is going to hate me And I used to consider myself as realistic until I learned realism = pessimism

Like for example the good old Russia and Greece in ESC - they manage to qualify no matter what their performance or song is, so I would say that in ESC the main role plays country, then a little smaller role plays song, and after that comes artist (although in some cases it goes as the main role) and only then comes performance.... that's my opinion...

I will show you some (funny or not) examples what optimism, realism and pessimism is. 1st example: how these 3 people think? About flat tire: Optimist thinks: At least all the air didn't flow out - there's some still left at the top of the tire. Pessimist thinks: Gotta change the tire, gotta get my hands and suit dirty... Realist thinks: Where's my jack? I have to get to the party! 2nd example: About a glass with something to drink: Optimist thinks: The glass is half-full. Pessimist thinks: The glass is half-empty. Realist thinks: I don't care if it's half-full or half-empty - the main thing is that there still is something to drink! 3rd example: About a girl who wants to talk to you: Optimist thinks: She wants to talk to me, so she likes me. Pessimit thinks: This girl wants to annoy me. Realist thinks: This girl is my sister. (real or soul sister - doesn't matter) And this is how they look:

In every contest that I have played or do play right now I have one very good result and that's about it... And there's only 1 time I have actually won with latvian song (it was in IMF #1 from 34 countries in overall, but after that the best result was 13th in final). In my own contest CWSC in 10 editions I once finished 2nd, but other times I wasn't higher than 12th (and there were no semifinals, just final). But have you ever been last in the semifinal 2 times in a row? I have. For me the most successful countries in contests are Denmark (2 wins) and Finland (1 win, 1 2nd place), although I haven't used them much.

Why would I hate you? I can't do anything about it anyways... And BTW - I don't hate girls, I like them
