ITALY TO WITHDRAW?
Italy could not participate in the 13th edition of the competition says RAI general director Luigi Gubitosi, shocking many Italian fans.
Italy has failed to qualify twice in a row, with two of Italy's favourite artists; Annalisa and Lacuna Coil.
"The standard of the competition is very high, although we have had two great songs and we are honestly surprised that neither of them qualified," says the general director. "We also do not have the finances, having turned down recent competitions that we have won to host to other countries. We are barely paying the fee from the NBU."
Fans posted on the official Italian NVSC website, along with several blogs to express their disappointment.
One user @annalisa4life has said she told all her Faroese friends to vote for Italy.
Participation remains in doubt for Italia. |

George In the meantime there are concerns regarding the new government plans for re-instating ERT as national broadcaster but we don’t expect this to happen before May therefore there is time for EBU and the new Greek government to negotiate the normal and legal transition to a new national broadcaster.source: oikotimes.com

 Greece will participate in NVSC#13!Everything's fine and we are ready for one of the biggest shows in Europe. A surprise for everyone is that internal selection won't be held as we think that it's a pity to not give a chance to some (new) artists.Probably,it will be the last edition of it,but nothing is sure. So,be ready for NorthSong#6. Slovakia's budget for the northvision might rise. The president said, "the contest has helped our tourist industry and the Slovakian music is more popular in the international community. We hope to send more amazing songs for the contest and hope we will eventually win. The show will get government and private funding to make sure the show amazing."
