 Katastrofe to represent Norway
The results of the tenth edition of Den Norsken Sangen were revealed yesterday. You can find them here. Norwegian singer Katastrofe won the selection with his song "Holde rundt deg" (Hold around you)
with a small margin of 3 points against Nora Jabri with the song "Berlin Wall".
The official video of the song for the North Vision Song Contest #13 in Israel is now published.
Norway is being represented by a male singer for the second time, ten editions later. Also, it's the second time that Norwegian will be heard in the contest after the Norwegian entry in the sixth edition.

Tbh in my opinion a song is only overused if it wins all the time but if it never wins then you're just wasting an entry <_<

Wow if I ever hear any complain about overused songs, I won't even care lolol. I just try to have the contests (not only NVSC) as original as possible and you just complain. I often saw complaints about overused songs in other contests so I thought I wasn't the only one against this but k I'm wondering what would happen if Armenia came up with Pregomesh next edition, probably everybody would jump through his room because of happiness (eating) I also don't want to start a discussion now, this is just my opinion. If you don't care if a song is overused, fine, but I don't want to discuss this topic anymore k bye There's a big difference between most of the overused songs, there are some that are so spammed and overplayed that everybody knows them, others are overused but nobody knows them because they take part in rather small contests. :P As Logan said songs like  Pregomesh or  NYC Taxi,  My Heart Is Refusing Me,  Heart Attack,  Boys Will Be Boys and so on... are (or were) really used, took part in all the important/main contests and almost everytime won, which pissed people off :P I've never seen the Albanian song anywehre else because I don't follow any other contest so it doesn't bother me at all ;) You don't have to overreact everytime someone is against your opinion, there is always going to be someone who doesn't agree with you but these are silly discussions that lead to silly spam-fights for nothing, like... at all. Ivan is not going to change his song anyway I suppose so it became pointless now. Speaking of overused stuff, this subject also became "overused" now honestly ;) lol I liked your post after reading the first sentence and then a few sentences further I agreed again so I thought "oh I should like this post" but then I realized I'd already given it a like omg. xD So 2 likes from me. :3 :v |

*coughs* FoM  And which overused song did I send ? When I confirmed with "Eldamar", it wasn't overused  And did you ever hear any song of my NS for #11 before ? Except "Fallschirm", I don't think so But Oonagh is overused as an artist herself. |

There's a decent difference between unoriginal and overused. For me, it's unoriginal to send overused songs. The song itself can be original, but it's not an original choice to take an overused song imo So unoriginal is the decision, not the song.

I've tried the whole time I've been participating in NVSC to find the best entry (not the most "underused" or so, for example Gnchu). And no, they would come to my room with tanks to kill me. |
