My impression of the song now!  ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS FRANCE 2?  ?? 1. You send a song that could easily participate in 1972 2. You send an unknown and old singer that hasn't even a nice voice and who screams for 3 minutes 3. You send a song talking about WW1 in Austria, the country you fought against, saying that the ennemies were bastards that destroyed our villages? This is the WORST IDEA EVER!!! It's like singing a song called "Remember that Austrian killed us" in front of 15.000 people in Vienna! And these too patriotic lyrics! Just look at the lyrics : "When they arrived hidden behind their guns, They were thousands, they laughed of our tears They wanted to destroy our beliefs and our souls With hate words that we didn't know. I am here tonight in the middle of these ruins To talk about hope and sing life And I swear that I will dry the blood That I will re-build my city Much more beautiful than before."  They forgot that we are in peace with the countries we used to fight! I would be German, Austrian, Hungarian... All the countries that we used to fight, I would be very offended by the French entry! I am very ashamed of this choice and let me tell you that I condamn it! |
