Latvia should've won but I think this is the beginning of Latvia being a top Eurovision nation. I remember when  we did well in  2013 someone on these forums said the same about us and indeed the year after we got the  second place. And the year after that year which is last week actually we got 34th.  Actually something similar happened to when we qualified last year. |

I remember when we did well in 2013 someone on these forums said the same about us and indeed the year after we got the second place. For me not 3/11 qualifications since the introduction of the semis doesn't sound different. You mean for my country?  Well I'm not surprised about our qualification rate. A long time we had a broadcaster which wasn't really into the Eurovision Song Contest (it was a news and sports channel) and then we got a broadcaster which felt affected by the economical crisis I guess lol. Or at least they didn't give anything about the Eurovision Song Contest and sent weak entries. Since the confluence of AVRO and TROS (which was required by our government lol) to  AvroTros it seems they take Eurovision more serious.  Or at least we don't send songs like "Amambanda", "Top Of The World", "Shine" or "Ik Ben Verliefd" anymore.  |

I actually like "Top of the world" In comparison to "Hemel en Aarde" it's not really outstanding in my opinion.  |
