There's still a chance for Slovakia. Remember what happened to the  Czech Republic last year? They announced their return quite some time after the deadline closed. As for Russia, they shouldn't withdraw because they're being treated so terribly. The Eurofans just need to stop being so rude. Tbh I don't care about Turkey, they're always changing their mind and their songs aren't even that great anyway - it's diaspora votes for them. While countries like Slovakia and  Andorra have said they won't be coming back, I wouldn't be 100% sure about it until we know what's going on with Australia - they'll be the last country to get proper news from. If Slovakia/Andorra/any other country in the same boat hasn't said they're coming back by then, that's when I'll believe it. |

AFAIK, the Russian broadcaster (this year it's the All-Russia State Teleradiobroadcasting Company) has sent the preliminary confirmation, though they might withdraw until, I think, March. And I personally wouldn't be surprised if they do so after a most warm welcome Polina received in Vienna :/ and the channel which takes the turn to broadcast Eurovision this year is unfortunately kinda... Europe-phobic, I'd say. |
