Tbh, after all that drama, I don't give a shit if  Turkey ever comes back. Countries like  Australia or  Sweden show how the contest should be treated: as celebration I can understand people thinking exactly like that. But if Germany did the same, you would care so much about it. Being quite doesn't change things. No matter if TRT won't participate in the next 20 years, I'll always support and do my best together with all Turkish Eurovision fans to protest and say our minds and thoughts on Twitter. But Germany doesn't fuck it up every single year by saying they will return the next year or the same year, give some stupid and unuseful speeches and give fake hopes all the time. |

I didn't say that they do or did it. TRT is the only broadcaster who does. He said several times that they'll participate and will be in contact with the EBU but they didn't. According to the German Eurovision website TRT didn't contact the EBU and didn't give them an answer though the EBU tried to bring Turkey back. |

Seriously,  Turkey had a few top 5 acts since the 50/50 & Big 5 rules (Sertab Erener-1st in '03, maNga-2nd in '10, & Athena, Kenan Doğulu, and Hadise-4th in '04, '07, and '09 respectively), as well as a couple of top 10 finishes (Mor ve Ötesi, Can Bonomo-7th in '08 and '12 respectively, and Yorgunum Anla (not typing the group name here due to it being very long)-10th in '00). A very successful country and their broadcaster wants to complain about rules that only made Turkey fail to qualify once? I get the running order part, but when I read about how they hate the 50/50 system and the Big 5 thing, they almost won twice! If it wasn't for Lena (implying if Germany sent someone else), Turkey might have won again with maNga. (idk though,  Romania was good, as well as  Ukraine and  Azerbaijan). I understand how many Turkish citizens are fans of Eurovision, and hopefully TRT thinks long and hard about what they're doing. Eurovision is about culture and music, not winning  |

Turkish Eurovision fans started a TT project on Twitter called "We want Eurovision AK Party". We made it to the trending topics on Turkey. Niran Ünsal, a singer who is duing the march speeches for the Turkish president reacted that she will sue us if we continue with those Tweets. You can see how things like these work in Turkey, unfortunately exactly like mentioned above. She made announcements like: "I'll hurt you if you won't stop with these tweets. Don't speak much!
