 Updates of September '18
Bonjour, ceci est un petit texte en Français, et il sert a rien.
Time for some updates concerning September, not much to announce I know, but this is still that.
• Madrid to host the Europa Festival #25 •
Days after the second victory of  Spain in the Europa Festival, it was decided that,
for the second time, after EoF #05, Madrid will be hosting the PQR, the Semi-Finals and the Grand Final of the contest.

Updates of November '18
Guess we need an update on what's happening with EoF.
So as y'all may have noticed already, EoF is currently located within the Inactive/Closed Contests Board, for way a lot of reason, ngl.
(If a mod pass by here, could (s)he put the board back to its former place please.. ?)
But it is not the most important, as I have a bunch of things to announce:
- First, I want to apologize for everything that happened in October within the contest, this was just a messy month from my side, and I won't lie,
closing EoF was probably one of my biggest mistake I have taken during these last weeks.
- Secondly, the contest will be restarting. Hopefully, the Semi-Finals Recap will be coming next week, in two weeks if not.
- Thirdly, the EoF Council, will be dissolved, which will implies a lot of change of the contest.
The reason behind is that the 4 council members decided to not continue the adventure, focusing on either school or other projects, which is more than understable,
wishing the best to them, and thanks to their help given from the 17th to the 24th edition.
- Fourthly, this:
• The changes from EoF #26 & on:
So yeah, as stated, the council will cease to exist, which will implies to a bunch of change:
- The Approval will get removed. This will get developped when a new confirmation thread will open.
- The Running Order will be decided by a draw again. Except for the SF of the 25th edition which was done weeks ago.
- A bunch of rules will be changed/added/removed, but you'll be informed in time for these. Probably with another post on this thread by mid-November, who knows.
So yeah, see ya (hopefully) next week for the SF Recaps, if not, then in two weeks.

Updates of Mid-November '18
"Mid-November" but it's only the 8 of November, normal 
Anyway, here's the updates with the contests and the major changes:
I. Africa Festival is closing
If you hadn't noticed, yes, there is a sub-contest of EoF called Africa Festival (AiF), which was started years ago, and only has 2 editions held to this day...
will be closed. This reason is motivated due that firstly, I can't handle two contests at the same time, and secondly, due to constant inactivity of the contest.
Due to these changes, 4 Countries will be allowed back in EoF:
 Algeria  Egypt  Morocco  Tunisia |
II. New country/ies in EoF.. ?
I was lately thinking of it, but after that the Invited Nations has been stopped, motivated by the struggle of inviting good countries (musically-wise)
to represent one particular continent in the contest. Why not inviting one, two or even three countries permanently to take part in the contest
These potential 3 countries will be:
 Australia
Because of ESC
 Canada
 United States
These two countries have won EoF once ( #16 & #20).
Firstly, no, this wouldn't sign the end of the Europa Festival, but more like an extension, to let more songs participating, and
to see more unknown songs from these countries, which have a big music industry.
Obviously, if one/all of these countries went to participate, they will have to get through the Semi-Finals.
But the decision to invite these won't be taken by me, but by you, within a new poll that will be posted asap.
III. The changes within the contest
So yeah, as EoF is slightly (or not) changing, somes rules has to be adapted or changed :
• The Microstates (aka       ) will not need
approval of the bigger country for sending an entry from #26 & on. However, for    ,
the approval PM to the "bigger" country is still needed in case they go with an act not from their country.
• As stated earlier, there won't be any approval anymore, but I am saving the right to reject a song
if it's either overused/unoriginal for EoF standards (all hail the sad+alt).
• About the voting period, here's how it will work from now on (just making it official):
From my side, I will try my best to post the recap(s) on the Sunday before around 21CET.
So it's giving y'all 3/4/5 days to vote (from Sunday 21CET to Wed/Thu/Fri 21CET)
And finally, concerning the warning percentage, just a small change concerning the rules about not voting with a valid reason (which represent 5% of warning)
From now on, if you inform that you won't be able to vote between the moment the recap was posted until the last reminder, you won't receive any warning.
However, for informing that you won't be able to vote between the last reminder (posted 24h before the ddl) and the ddl itself will give you 5% of warning.
So basically, the earlier you inform, the better it is (especially in temrs of searching for replacers)

Also, it has nothing to do with these announcement but i'd like to inform that:
 Bosnia & Herzegovina is now free due to its current player being inactive since April 2018.
And don't forget to vote in the #25 SF, the ddl is tonight.

 Updates of March '19
Hi, a small sets of update for this month 
Here's a bunch of news concerning the contest itself, which will apply for the 27th edition:
I. Goodbye FYR Macedonia, welcome North Macedonia.
Simple as that, from the 27th edition & on, the new official name of Macedonia, which is now North Macedonia, will be in use in the contest.
To fit these change, the place of this country on the taglist will also be moved, to fit it's new name (moving from M to N)
II. Concerning the countries swap.
From this edition & on, the amount of editions needed for taking a country will be of 1. However, the contest will not turn into a first come/first serve contest.
All the countries claimed will stay claimed. If you want to change your country, do it at your own risks.
As example, if I want to change my country, then I could swap, but if my current country gets taken, then I don't have the right to complain, as it was my decision.

Also if someone cares, the  Norwegian draw will be launched tonight.

The Europa Festival is closing
Two new "Europa Festival"s
Happy fishing day everyone, while the forums metamorphose, I thought i'd be the nice occasion to announce that the contest will also change.
Actually, they are subcontests, based on the Europa Festival, but as these two seems to be popular, I thought i'd be a nice idea to launch there aswell.
Junior Europa Festival
For singers below 18 Years Old, this will be a great occasion to showcase how our future is talented by their songs. Inspired by the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the rules will mostly stay the same as EoF, with the exception of the artist age. 
Our past is also made of amazing songs and singers if we get through it, this will be the point of this second contest, as all songs that were
released before 1999 will be allowed to compete, this will be a good occasion to showcase your country's greatest melodies that are now iconic.
In General
These two contests will be hosted in one night show, and will see the allowance of 18 Countries to participate per edition.
Talking of the editions, hopefully I'll manage to host these contests twice a year, between two EoF editions, and in alternance.
Now if you don't mind, i'd go back fishing with these april's fool jokes, cya o/

The April's update.
Bonjour.
Some stuff being announced, you know the thing
About the subcontests (JEoF & VEoF)
THEY WILL HAPPEN.I'll see first if I can handle these alone, but if co hosts would be needed for these, then I'm gonna ask for some.Unlike the Europa Festival, the host country will be choosed by an opening application, with some specific rules, more to be announced later,as the very first edition of the Vintage Europa Festival will be happening after the 27th Europa Festival. But about the Europa Festival ?
Yeah some stuff also happened here, firstly, the board design is different, and it's going to be the main design for the contest,
I don't think there will be a specific design for every editions.
More updates with EoF, as from the 27th edition, the current edition will be held into one and single thread, with the
draw and the theme art being posted on their own thread. The rest (Recaps, Results and Confirmations) will be on the same thread.
With this, I'd remind that the confirmations are still open until the 13th April.

Updates of June 2019
One big news, with its changes:
I. Europa Festival is back !
After the break that made me rethinking of how I wanted EoF to work, but I guess this break has to now take to an end.
The contest will be restarting on where it stopped, on the 27th edition, but not on the recap, on the confirmation part.
Later today (the 12/06/19), the confirmations for the 27th edition will be reopened.
With these, this set of new changes:
A. From now on, all the entries would have to be posted twice. Firstly, on a Google Form that will be posted on the first post of the confirmation thread,
and secondly, on the confirmation thread. Why ? To make my life easier !
For this, let me explain:
The Google Form will be here for you to give all the informations you need to be given (song, artist, entry, timeslot...); and will be sent to me.
While the posting on the confirmation thread, will be for all the participants to see your song.
Obviously, you cannot go away with only sending your entry on only the confirmation thread.
B. All the recaps videos will now be uploaded on Google Drive
This is simply to avoid copyright strikes.
