Yael Naim is ready for the second semi final tomorrow!
As full preperations are going on in Astana, the Tunisian representive, Yael Naim, has just given out her 2nd reherasal.
As Yael and her team were heading to their rooms after their rehersal, we managed to get a interview with her.
What do you think about your second rehearsal, Yael?
It was better than the first one, I can say. It think the performance could stun the audience, if you ask me.
My team did an amazing job, and I am really proud of them. Hope the performance tomorrow will stay like the one today,
cuz it was just stunning, even for my own eyes.
How does it feel to represent Tunisia in Astana, NVSC 15?
No words can describe how I feel to represent Tunisia in a contest as big as Northvision. I actually wanted to try with France at first, but my entry didn't make it to the duels, so I tought I'd try another year instead.
But as strange as it sounds, Nessma contacted me, and asked if I'd be interrested to participated in their selection.
As I really wanted to get into Northvision, I took this offer as a second chance, and accepted it.
About the Arena, everything looks amazing. Staging, lights, background. Just beautiful.
You wrote your song by yourself. How?
One night, I couldn't actually get any sleep, so I decided to get up and do something, and the first thing that came into my mind are song writing. So I took a pen & paper, and decided to write it. I had everything in mind for this song, including the instruments.
Everythin was finnished that night, and of course I was extremely tired after all that writing, but it was totally worth it.
I should also thank you team, who also helped me arrange the song. They have been to a big help for me.
Last question: Tunisia hasn't qualified in 6 years. Is YOUR song a finalist material?
I really don't want to think about it right now. I'd be REALLY happy to qualify to the final, and finally bring back Tunisia into the Grand Final, but yeah, It's the peoples choice.
Do you have any message to the Northfans?
Hello everyone! I'm Yael Naim, and I am representing Tunisia in the Northvision Song Contest in Astana. Thanks for supporting me trough the Northvision journey. Be sure to give a vote or two for lovely Tunisia, and have a wonderful day!
That would be everything. Thank you for taking your time for this interview, and good luck tomorrow!
Merci beaucoup
