What do you mean by "selfish" about the USA entry? According to wikipedia, Rexha was born in Brooklyn, New York City, United States, to ethnic Albanian parents. So I don't get why FYROM would be able to send her Albania is surely the country where she comes from but I see her relation to the US even stronger to be honest, as she was born and raised there

The people who are editing wikia, are stupid. no offence. actually, bebe rexha has born to albanian-macedonian parents, in the city of Debar, Macedonia... This is located in a region populated mostly with albanians, that's why people from Albania are saying she is Albanian. Ethnically albanians living in Macedonia (Rexha's parents) have nothing to do with Albania as country. And all the time the wikipedia gets updated and changed this information. That's why its not nice to always believe it..
By selfish i mean that seriously, usa has the biggest music indstry in the world and they are taking a singer which is able to represent albania. if to compare the music indistries of both countries, its obvious which is bigger... a big fat 0 for usa. sorry

Both Mihai & Mimis are right on their own. In 24th and 34th editions, I borrowed 2 Turkish singers from Germany. And 1 from Switzerland in 13th edition. Their whole music career is based on those countries and they deserved to send those singers more than me. But Germany has much bigger music industry than Turkey. Plus, during 13th edition Switzerland wasn't in the contest. So I though there would be no problem. I also don't prefer borrowing an artist from a country with not-so-great music industry which his/her music career is based on that country. Like, me borrowing Emina Jahovic from Bosnia just because she has Turkish citizenship, even her career is in Bosnia. I'd never do that. Correct me if I'm wrong, Bebe Rexha may be fully Albanian or Macedonian, but her career is based on USA, rather than Albania or Macedonia. USA may have alot more songs to send but this doesn't chance that USA kinda have more rights to send her. (Just my opinion)
