Taiwan is not China. (cry) Republic of China will remain China for me - the one and true China. That is it's official name given by the UN, but if you said that to any Taiwanese person, they would mostly feel disregarded, shocked, appauled, upset and hurt. Most, if not all, on the island refer to their country as either Taiwan or the Republic of Taiwan. The only country that doesn't allow them to be officially named that is the People's Republic of China. |
