(IDK quite what to call this thread lol) I wanted to make this thread so that there's a central place where we can discuss rules and ask questions about FSC in an organized way.  Please feel free to tag me and I'll answer any questions you might have. Also, if you want to see changes to the rules, we can talk about those. And to kick things off, I'm asking for some help.
FSC used to have a sort of "famous" banned songs list, which I haven't been able to keep up. This is something I'd like to bring back, but since I don't really play in a lot of contests, I need some help. Either can you let me know at the end of every edition what songs should be added to the list or maybe I can assemble a "jury" of a few players and myself that can approve each song and catch the overused ones.
I know a lot of people liked this list and I did too, but I don't trust myself to catch everything lol.

The list is a really good idea, but the only thing is that there are so many songs that can be added to the list so it takes a lot of work. Plus sometimes it's difficult to know when it's time to class a song as "overused" (unless you're talking about the obvious ones  ). But if the list is to go ahead then maybe a jury would be a good idea with a mix of people taking part in different contests  |

I don't want to have a something like a view limit because, even though that would be easy, it'd unfairly blame popular songs. If there was a cap of, say 3 million views, I couldn't send my song this edition, even though it's never been sent to a contest before. |

With regards to the banned song list, I've always liked it. I had to put it in place because when I used to join many other contests I got fed up with people sending the same old songs again and again on top of other people constantly voting for them due to familiarity. Saying that, it's not easy to keep on top of it and I also learned it's not always the songs themselves it's the people who kept sending the same songs. I think for the users who consistently send them then they should be banned or be warned imho (harsh I know).
If the list is to be set in place maybe other players, who join more contests, can suggest to the manager some recent songs that are being overused and he'll decide whether they're to be banned or not. If it's not worth it then I can't reject to banning it altogether whatever is easiest.
I also think some editions would be nice to have certain rules like 'In this edition you can't send any National Final songs but you can in the next' sort of thing just to avoid a repeating pattern maybe.
