The third edition of Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix will be held in
Aalborg, Denmark, after Ida Gard won the second edition with her song "Need a Break".
The Aalborghallen has been chosen as venue for the event, having a capacity of 3,000 people.
Additional to the other countries, it was decided that
Greenland will be allowed to participate in the contest.Users who are interested to get the country have to sign up. One user will get the country after a draw.
The rules that apply for the country is that only Greenlandic singers are allowed.
Also, if you had the country for one edition, you are not allowed to sign up for a second edition in a row.
To date, the following countries have confirmed for the event:
Denmark (host)
Faroe Islands Greenland
Iceland
Norway
SwedenCurrently, the contest is scheduled to take place around mid-May, the exact dates for the event have yet to be discussed though.
More information will be revealed by DR at a later date.
