Post-Eurovision Reactions:
- I don't care how bad the song is, nobody, and I mean NOBODY should receive 0 points. I am incredibly sad for
Austria and especially
Germany, because now she's going to get the hardest treatment from Germany and its media because she didn't actually win the NS.
-
Slovenia was incredibly underrated, along with
France. Performing early absolutely slaughtered these two countries' chances, if they had swapped with Russia and Italy, Slovenia would have gone Top 10 and France Top 15.
- Surprised that
Cyprus and
Greece didn't exchange
as well as
Italy failing to give
Albania any at all
-
Serbia and
Montenegro, but especially Montenegro were overrated as hell.
- Congratulations to
Belgium and
Latvia for your good results, they were deserved.
- Expected to see
Australia finish where it did.
- I knew
Spain was never going to do as well as everyone thought it was but I'm incredibly surprised at how much it flopped.
-
Azerbaijan was utter shit, the most boring song of the night yet it managed to finish 12th. The last thing I want now is for
Turkey to come back because another wave of diaspora voting causes more trouble. Turkey never deserves the placings it gets.
-
Nina Sublatti comes across as incredibly arrogant.
-
Albania was underrated, but Elhaida was awful tonight so I won't say it wasn't deserved. But the studio version itself is easily one of the best songs this year.
- It was hilarious when
Monika and Vaidas kissed longer then they should have
- They NEED to change the voting. Ranking songs are the reason countries aren't getting as many points as they should, they should go back to giving the points jury and televote wise and then combining them, with the highest combined scores getting points.
- I expected
Sweden to win when I woke up this morning, because I couldn't see
Italy or
Russia winning, and tbh they were the only real competition for victory. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with this time, because 2013 was not great.
Overall, nice winner but everything else was not cool. So many overrated and underrated songs. I want to take a look at these split results ASAP to have a look at what went on. I'll probably spend the next 365 days moping about no Eurovision only for my hopes to be let down once again.
Countries I can see withdrawing (realistically):
Macedonia
Czech Republic
Albania (all Albanians will suddenly become anti-Eurovision, just watch)
San Marino
Portugal
France
Spain
Australia (not that they would have much of a choice :
