It's fine my friend, I'm more worried about the files you may lose (pics, music, templates, etc..) if you don't manage to fix your laptop. And if you do manage to turn your newer laptop on, please do backup everything you can (assuming you haven't already done so ofc). This is my biggest fear when I have to change to a new computer, since I have a ton of stuff saved here, talking about years of work and worth of pictures/music, I'd lose my head if it happened to me I'm doing fine at the moment, mostly busy since I won't be home for the entirity of tomorrow so I have to get as much as I can ready before I leave Thanks for asking Yep luckily i should have everything i need saved just in case also if anything is lost luckily i know where to get them back from as well so it should not be too big of an issue i do have all the previous edition logos on imgur and flags i use are also relatively easy to find and download again it is just all the important sites i have bookmarked for FoIM that i may have a hard time remembering but that is where my phone comes in handy all the most important stuff should be safe indeed also yep it has definitely been my biggest concern over these days. Might have to download the same video editor to the new one as well so i will try to find a site where to get it from. Most likely Windows itself If that is not available anymore then i need to find a new free video editor to use just not sure which one since i have not used any other one than WMM so far lol. So any suggestions would be welcome just in case something that is relatively easy to learn and free to use ofc If your laptop doesn't work at all, you can still extract the hard drive from it. If your new laptop has an empty slot for a hard drive, you can put it in it so you can copy your data. If you don't have any extra slot, you can just buy an external dock for hard drives - you can have one for 20 dollars - and you'll be able to use your former hard drive exactly like an external USB hard drive.
About the researches you made on Internet, you can install the same browser on your new computer, then replace the profile files by the ones that were on your old computer, so you'll have your bookmarks, your history and all your stuff back...

Yup i have a USB device which has everything saved on it just in case bookmarks are not really too big of an issue and i have most of those sites listed into my phone notes so that should take care of that problem as well also i need to see if i can do something like that with the new one whatever it is gonna be if i can it is even better so we will see

Don't worry, I'm a really patient person. Take your time. I rather hope everything's okay and nothing important got lost. I remember losing tons of old pictures when my old laptop died some 5-6 years ago. Everything's going well btw. It's incredibly hot and I'm incredibly bored, but nothing special happened.

How did it die? Unless the hard drive had a physical failure, you can recover your data (even if they were "cleared") without paying in most of the cases. Recuva is free and has already saved me a couple of times...

Thank you for your suggestion anyway.

Update! So the good news are that i have a new laptop now, so expect the confirmations to open very soon now! Possibly tomorrow i should have a good spot to open them Thank you so much to all of you for your continued patience we made it through this setback again And for the first time i am actually gonna do the following If anyone of you is interested in becoming the so called "replacement recap maker" of FoIM starting from #33, let me know! It would help us a lot and we would not need to delay the editions any longer than necessary I am not entirely sure on any free video making softwares yet with which i could make recaps on, so it could take some time for me to find one, and if i cannot find one, then we would still have someone, who could take care of making the recaps for us in the future as well All you would just need to do would be to make the recaps I would take care of everything else as the contest host. So officially i am not looking for a co-host since all we would need is a recap maker, but i guess once a person becomes one, they could be called an unofficial co-host kind of If you are interested on doing this for us and helping us, just PM me and if you could provide an example of what kind of recaps you could make, it would be even better! I would be able to see how the future recaps would look in terms of possible designs etc I guess you could say this would be the start of "new era of FoIM" if we manage to find a person for this task As usual, stay tuned everyone!

If I may recommend a video editor software, PowerPoint is actually easy to use for that.
