For once I decided to do the thing which I'm used to doing at another forum - to write down some thoughts on the songs so you can have some insight into the basis under my points (if you're interested ofc; I guess that few are )First of all I should say that this edition was really great, with only one song receiving 1/5 from me (usually around 6 or 7 score like that) and 4 songs getting 5/5 (usual amount is 0-2). I hope neither of you will be offended by what I have written )))
United Kingdom – not bad actually, nothing that really outstanding but the tune has some interesting moments.
The Netherlands – the song has found that razor edge between soothing and boring. The strings in the arrangement and the nice vocals make it really beautiful.
Thailand – I like the singer’s voice here. The song is a nice Asian ballad – quite standard as for me, but tailored quite well.
Sweden – my favourite of the last Melodifestivalen. Her voice is just adorable and the retro-tune is magnificient as well. It will get some deduction though ‘cause it’s no discovery for me obviously
Germany – a guilty pleasure here I used to like it when I was around 12-13, so it brings some good memories
Iceland – Icelanders obviously know how to keep things simple yet really beautiful. This song is no exception, in my opinion, I really like the dreamy mood here.
Poland – not my cup of tea, let’s put it like this. I can’t differ this from most songs played today on the radio :/ It didn't annoy me though.
Belarus – as usual, I don’t like the lyrics in Russian-language songs... otherwise, it’s not bad, better than most Russian music scene nowadays
Canada – something more like South American folk-singing with Shakira-like voice... quite unexpected, to say the least.
Austria – unlike some, I don’t put every metal song in the bad category, but I can’t rate every metal song as good either. This one is quite plain, in my opinion.
Australia – another song which discovered nothing new for me, honestly Still I like it, especially the somehow passionate and emotional (but not hysterically screeching) performance.
South Korea – wow actually I got interested and watched the full song; the girls obviously need an exorcist, nevertheless I really like the rhythms. I’ll think where to place it
Switzerland – quite a classic ballad, nothing so much new, but done in a gentle and tasteful manner. It reminded me of Niamh Kavanagh’s “It’s For You” somehow which I really like. And the backing vocals add something interesting here.
Denmark – an enjoyable video but the song isn’t that outstanding, I was never fond of schlagers tbh. Quite cheap arrangements don’t help either.
Hungary – a strange song, an attempt to mix some Latin rhythms with something schlager-like... I'll have to relisten this to see if that really works.
Georgia – he has an interesting voice, the music is not so great but I like this style so maybe it’s getting something from me
Iran – it’s not as typical as most Arabic music is (I’d say it reminded me more of Armenian rabiz music and some other Caucasian songs), still their way to mix pop music and ethnic elements is quite beyond my liking.
Finland – sorry Nick, I’m too old and grumpy to like their chaotic style, probably, lol. Maybe, it’s a nice song to wake you up in the morning though.
Croatia – a nice retro attempt.
United States – damn it’s so catchy I can’t even resist The inclusions of funk and rock elements into the arrangement also worked here, making it sound really interesting
Russia – again, those lyrics. Nothing really great in the tune and the arrangements as well, sadly.
China – this is quite interesting in terms ofthe girls the arrangements but I can’t even catch the tune here to be honest )))

jk, I knew this wasn't gonna get me many votes I don't think anyone's as into this genre around here as I am, but I'm also grumpy and (relatively) old, so maybe I'm just trying to cling onto teenagehood? IDK, but I'm pleased with my song, chaos and all.
Also, ironically enough, it was the song I used as my alarm for a while.
