I have also an idea: We had the "Best-of" already. How about a "Worst-of"(or whatever that's called)? I'd still like that to happen. Or maybe the opposite of #10 (=songs in the language of our countries (probably the English ones trying something else than English if possible)). Great idea fabbi Mine worst scoring entry is from Samira Said. She can take a revenge haha

I'm really rooting for a minority language edition in #50. For this idea I would like to go for songs in an indigenous minority language or the language of a significant immigrant group, excluding English. I'm already compiling a helpful list for people who have no idea what languages to think of.
An example: The Netherlands can send songs in Frisian, Low Saxon, Limburgish, Papiamento, Arabic, Turkish or Amazigh (The first four as indigenous minority languages, the other three as immigrant languages). Of course the artists must still meet the normal eligibility rules for that country.

Minority languages would be cool.. And fact is is that Polish is spoken more on a daily basis than Irish in Ireland today so.. Irish is an official language though so I doubt it qualifies.
It's still a good idea and requires some search.. I guess more easier for some countries and less easier for some others but you never know.

Recognition as an official language does not automatically take away minority status, especially if there is more than one official language (like in Ireland, if I am correct). I would consider Irish a minority language, as less than 20% of the Irish people have it as their first language, so it is definitely by far the smaller of the two official languages, even though the government does really actively promote it, which is a really good strategy to strengthen the language imo. I wish they were doing that for my language. Instead Dutch government sort of half-half promotes education in Frisian, but from own experience I can say it was really really minimal (Even though 74% of the people in the province of Friesland speaks it, which is still only 2,5% of all Dutch). But well, I guess we're well off in comparison to many other minority groups, who have no official status and are sometimes even actively discouraged to speak their language.

Next idea: Everyone has to send an entry with the title being a country or a place somewhere. Preferably it should be not the own one and if possible a participating country.
Aka what I did in #43.

I wouldn't have any problem with either minority theme or song about some place Actually I can even put both themes in 1 song: latgalian language with song about Latvia Ofc I would most likely not use it, but who knows...

I actually thought about that for retro, but I thought it maybe was a bit hard to find songs like them
