I've had some time to think about this topic and I've had some ideas!
Only duets (even with singers from other countries)
Summer hits (only songs that have been released last summer)
Second Chance (each user can choose an artist who failed to qualify from the semifinals and give him/her another chance)
Another theme could be related to past winners (as a way of celebrating them after 50 editions) but I have to think over it more!

I support these ideas  Maybe we could freshen up the idea about sending a song that is related to a former winner somehow, i.e. similar topic + genre, or getting a peculiar line from the lyrics and sending something related to it. Native language (basic theme, but I'd love to see every country send a song in that country's language) What about a live edition? |

I read the suggestions and here are my alterations:
- Artists from any music/talent shows, festivals (I'd even count national selections; not just winners). This one could go hand in hand with live edition.
- Everyone gets one past winner and sends an entry inspired by it (2 will have to be repeated in case of a full edition)

Update:As you probably know, the 50th edition (the next one) will have a special theme such as the editions #10, #20, #30, #40.
Therefore we'll choose some themes and present them in a survey where you can vote for your favorite(s). This survey will be made in some days and sent to all of you, but before we do that, we want to give you a few more days to suggest ideas that we haven't heard yet.
If there's anything that isn't posted yet or that you like to mention, please write it here in the upcoming days. If not, it doesn't matter much, as we already collected a lot of ideas, we're thankful that many of you have concerned yourself with it and that you shared your ideas. 
Deadline for new ideas: Friday, 18th of November.
After that we'll continue with the survey.

(24 in the semi and 16 in the final if we're taking the maximum of 51 participants)? |

I'd suggest also an "overused" edition. But I guess it's probably better for #60.
