Researching music from countries with bigger industries is harder than researching music for smaller nations I think it is hard for me to find songs from the UK because there are so many famous artists and famous songs many of which are also quite old and it’s hard to find unknown songs and artists I agree with that |

I agree and disagree to an extent. I think Spotify's New Music Friday playlists definitely help a lot in sourcing the unknown artists and songs in bigger countries, but for some reason the playlist for the US region seems to underrepresent the unknown artists/songs considerably. You have to rely sometimes on YouTube recommendation or the rare few not-so-popular US artists you know already (or from other playlists like Fresh Finds). UK on the other hand is a lot more well represented from my experience.
Then, you have the smaller regions who don't even have one single big chart showcasing the local songs. For example, the region I am from (Hong Kong) has 5 stations that make local charts and none of them is considered the "official" local chart for the region.

I don't think there are a lot of artists who received international fame but I do see MIRROR might be an international hit.
