After Stella Kalli ultimately failing to qualify from the first semi-final, 
CyBC announces that the country will withdraw from the contest!
Among the reasons are the lack of interest and the resignal of the HoD!
Following the decision of the
United Kingdom being split to England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland for the purposes of the contest, BBC Scotland has shown interest in participating, confirming 
Scotland's presence in the 29th edition!
Looking in the past of the contest we sadly see that no Scottish singers have ever represented the UK.
Without something else to state, our first entry will be selected internally!
We wish the best of luck to Scotland in the contest!
