When FSC 25 came around, I think we had an edition of all the winner from 1-24 compete to see which song was the best winner. could this happen again? I was thinking about that because it was going to bug me that the special idea from #25 wouldn't be repeated at #50. But iirc, very few people participated in that, and it seems a bit exclusionary for the people who didn't win. But I'll for sure add it to the poll.  |

I personally like the Blind Edition theme a lot but i hope everyone would keep calm and I'd personally leave the bonus points away  Your version of the Retro Edition sounds interesting too, would surely be a nice little challenge, especially if you get some older years The Space theme is a bit weird imo, but well, at least it would be something where we have to think a bit... 
@ winners edition: What about making a (short) extraordinary Winners edition after FSC #50? I mean, which doesn't get counted as normal edition.  |

I know these are just first ideas. However these are my thoughts about it:
Blind edition: Nah! I don't like this one. I mean a contest without countries is weird. I had that already once and didn't like it.
Retro edition: That idea sounds interesting for sure.
Space edition: Not a big fan of it tbh. It's too difficult imo. However if it gets chosen then I'd personally prefer if it'd be also a blind edition.

Out of the suggestions, I like the Retro Edition most of all. Think the Blind Edition sounds like a lot of work and Space Edition does seem a little too pedantic BUT I like the challenge of being given a theme, maybe the manager can give us all a specific theme each and choose a song from that. For example, Person X gets 'Candy' and Person Y gets 'Crocodiles' ( ... you get the gist ). I admit I suggested this in another contest but I'll throw it out again (sounds desperado ). Another could perhaps be choosing any artist from Eurovision EXCEPT for their entries. Or a 'Season Edition' choosing songs from Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer. I'm not sure as long as there's a challenge I'm up for it!! I also like the sound of the Minority Edition too. |

UPDATE
So I know this isn't necessarily a huge improvement on three ideas, but I like that two of them are players' ideas. Just to clarify: - Blind edition: In this edition, every player could send absolutely any song they wanted, the only catch is that no one but me would know the artist, song title, and player who sent it. Bonus points would be given out for correctly guessing the traits of each song. (no changes)
- Retro edition: Each person would draw two years, one from 1965-1990, and one from 1991-2015. So it's guaranteed you wouldn't be doomed with 1965 and 1966, which I think was some of the fear people had lol
- Minority language edition: This might be a bit difficult, so as long as 50% of the song is in the minority language, it's a go. But yeah, each player must send a song that is (mostly) in neither English or the major language in a country.
- Theme edition: Each player will be given a theme of some kind, such as different seasons, plants, or animals, and they have to send an entry that connects to their theme.
- Other: Suggest a new idea in the thread! These are only four ideas, so please, don't feel stifled.
Voting will close when the results of FSC #49 are revealed, so you have until 3 September to vote! EDIT: Oh yeah, you can vote for your two favorites!
