Unfortunately bad news for you guys...I came back home and tried to turn my laptop on but Microsoft keeps doing the same shit all the time... A message appeared on my screen saying 'Repairing disk drive. This might take hours' and I just waited...The message disappeared but then another message appeared like 'Scanning and repairing drive' and when this reached 100%, it disappeared again and now it's only a black screen left...I'm not going to reboot as I am afraid not to lose any files but I will wait for some more hours...Hopefully the problem will have been solved as I want to finish with your images asap. Please be patient as I don't know when I'll be able to repair this...If you have ever faced a similar problem please let me know if and how you solved it...If I don't manage to have things done this week, then you might need to wait for 1 more week so that I can give the laptop to a technician to fix it for me... Thanks for understanding  Well my laptop (Acer with Microsoft system) is three years old and I have the similar problem starting from a few months ago. Now about 7 in 10 times when I start the computer, the system asks to check my disks ('strongly recommended'). It takes a dozen mins to go through the process but there's a choice before it all starts and that's you can 'press any key to skip it'. Thank goodness I'm not so desparate about the problem. But I'll consider replacing it because I guess three years is somehow old age for laptops.... |
