I'd love for the Arab countries to compete, but I think it's pretty darn petty of them to only do it if Israel withdraws!

All by religion Some countries still compete even though their rival histories are backtracking them. ( Greece- Turkey- Cyprus etc.)

I know. It sucks that it all has to be about religion. I mean. I'm a Christian and proud of it, but whenever Arabic countries compete in OVSC, I typically give them big points. I *could be petty and be all like, "That country is 96.9% Islamic, no points for them," but I'm not. Comparing myself to an entire country is quite a stretch, but the point I'm attempting to make is- religion shouldn't matter. It should be about the music, about the sharing of culture. Religion happens to be a part of culture, so why discriminate? Human nature, I suppose. :/

I'd love for the Arab countries to compete, but I think it's pretty darn petty of them to only do it if Israel withdraws! One country withdraws, several Arab countries join in. That's good right?

Not really- it's petty of them that they'll only compete is Israel withdraws. Be the bigger person- or country- and compete anyway.

I'm an atheist agnostic (Yes, those do exist) myself but it also don't have preference over any religions, I think all religions are as bad as each other, no matter what the buddhists tell you.
I really wouldn't mind if Israel withdraws, Israel have threatened to withdraw for years and it's just pissing me off. Israel could compete in Baku but they think it's too dangerous in Sweden?
I'd love to see Arab music in the ESC. But sorry Qatar - no ESC for you, you're where near Europe!
