What has happened in Glaray recently? Take a look:
First Electric Cars Deployed in Tusaun
The first electric cars in Glaray have been deployed and used by government officials on Wednesday in Tusaun, the capital. The initiative, which aims to raise Glaray's already high status of an environmentally-friendly nation, is in its third step after successfully increasing public transport use in major cities. The three step initiative, which has seen people transition from using personal cars to public transport, and then to electric cars, is set to be completed in the next 15 years. In 2016, there will be the enforcement of a car tax of 12.5% on those who wish to purchase a new car that runs off fuel, to entice people to choose cleaner options. Along with this comes a 7.5% government subsidy on all electric car purchases. Car use has decreased from 86% in 2005 to 63% in 2015. Public transport use has increased substantially from 37% in 2005 to 59% in 2015. The initiative devised in 2013, aims to see zero use of petrol-fuelled cars, instead being substituted for electric cars and public transport (which would eventually transition to electric power itself).
Tourism Advertisements released A seaside neighbourhood in Rispere.
The tourist city of Rispere has received a huge boost in funds from the government in order to launch a programme which aims to entice tourists to the city. Recognised as the tourist capital of the country, it serves over 80% of the nation's tourists each year and contributes 6% of the country's GDP on tourism alone. The city is famed for its sandy beaches, crystal clear water, thriving night life and local cuisine. Along with this, domestic flights to the city from the capital will increase from 14 flights a week to 25 a week, as well as the creation of a cruise ship route from Rispere to the Peroni Islands.
Language status of Frajisian once again disputed in parliament A long standing dispute in the Glaraian Parliament, the Frajisian language's status in the country has once again been brought up. The language used by ethnic Flakurians (who lived in Glaray up until the mid-1700s) before their ethnic cleansing in the mid 1700s, it is used alongside Glaraian as an official language in only the government. Advocates believe that Frajisian is important for historical government reasons. In Glaray itself, only 12% of people have a proficient understanding of Frajisian and less than 2% use it in their everyday lives. There is a similar issue with the Engju language regarding its widespread use and increasing popularity in Glaray. Discussions are expected to take place in parliament by the end of the month.

Viewing Figures in for Fantasia Contest 1
+ Other Fantasia Contest News GTV has released the viewing figures from last night's final. Throughout the night, a total of 4,176,224 viewers tuned in to watch the show - a 56.75% market share. While the market share was not a large majority, the total number of viewers that watched the show makes the Fantasia Contest final the third most watched programme of the year, behind the final of Glaraian Idol and the news coverage of the 2015 Glaraian Revolt. Viewers peaked at 3,659,240, and this was during Chiara's performance. Chiara, the 5-part documentary series documenting Chiara's journey through the Fantasia Contest that aired immediately after the final drew 3,739,264 viewers (a market share of 50.81%). Glaray's reaction to the show in the media alongside social networks were positive.
Commenting on her placing, Chiara said "16th isn't stellar, but it is by no means bad. I'm satisfied with my placing as I think the important thing was just to get get Glaray to the final," she says. "For Glaray not to be present in the first final of such a large Fantasian event would have been such a shame, so for me, getting into the final was more important than the result coming from it - qualification in my eyes was a victory in itself."
Meanwhile, Alesha Dixon has revealed her FC entry - "Do It For Love". The song has received strong digital downloads on the Glaraian charts already, and the album of the same name has spent its second week on the charts at No. 1. Alesha has said she is ready to go to Kerwan. "Filling Chiara's shoes isn't going to be easy, but I am going to give it everything I've got," Dixon said in an interview. "Do It For Love is such a special song because it resonates with you in many ways - people can interpret it in their own way and that's the beautiful thing about it. I hope to bring my marvellous country back to the final, and I want Glaraians to be proud of their country when they see me on stage. The staging, my performance and my promotion of the song are important, but to me, I feel the most important thing is to make sure I make Glaray proud, regardless of the outcome." Asking about bringing the contest to Glaray, she giggled. "Of course I want to win it for Glaray, but whatever happens, happens." Both GTV and Alesha have announced there will be a Do It For Love Promotion Tour around countries in Westmont. "It's exciting, I am going to promote the hell out of my song to ensure it gets the attention it deserves," she says. "I will do it all - concerts, television appearances, meet and greets as well as interacting with citizens to inform them of the contest and why they should vote for Glaray."
Christina Aguilera has also spoken out after withdrawing her bid as the Glaraian representative due to contract conflicts. "Chiara was beautiful on stage, she should be proud of her performance. Alesha's song is really good, and I know it will do well. As for me, I'm disappointed that I placed last for Gallifrey and I'm even more disappointed that they decided to withdraw, but I sorted out necessary paperwork and I can represent the other country I belong to." Christina was born in Glaray to a Glaraian mother and a Glaraian-Gallifreyan father before fleeing to Gallifrey in 1981 amidst the Glaraian civil and political fallout which sent the nation into chaos. Christina lived in Gallifrey until the age of 12, where she moved back to Glaray and has lived there since.

What's happened in Glaray recently? Take a look:
Fleur East expresses her interest in participating in the Fantasia Contest Singer and X Factor alumni Fleur East has expressed her interest of participating in the Fantasia Contest. "The idea [of participating] is just kind of surreal. That's where it's as big as it gets." Finishing in second place on The X Factor Glaray last year, she signed with judge and music producer Melina Azzini only days after the show and has remained quiet since. Her debut single "Sax", released last Friday, shot to the top of the music charts and has remained there since. "It has [the single] done really well, and I'm really happy. It's such a feel-good song, I'm happy it's doing so well." East's debut album Love, Sax and Flashbacks, is set to be released early next month.
While East has not officially been confirmed as the representative for Glaray as the circumstances surrounding Glaray's song and artist selection are unknown, her offer has been taken up by GTV and she will play a role in the selection.
Glaraian Idol kicks off to stellar ratings.... again Glaraian Idol, one of the country's consistently highest-rating television shows, debuted last Friday night to stellar ratings. Approximately 8 million viewers tuned in to see the show - a 91% market share. The show is currently in its twelfth season.
Veolia to commence in 2016 and end by 2020 Veolia, a proposed brand new city to connect the capital city Tusaun, to tourist hotspot Rispere and tourist-heavy port city Trienti in order to increase economic growth and connect Tusaun to the seaside and get close to the Peroni Islands, will commence construction in 2016. The city, which has been allocated billions of dollars in funds from both public and private sponsors, will undergo an incredibly fast construction, with the city expected and wanting to be up and running properly four years from initial construction - on January 1, 2020. It is considered to be the most technologically advanced and modern city Glaray will ever see.
Designs of what the city is expected to look like are below:
Language change sparks celebration
17 November 2015 - a day that will go down in history in Glaray. Today parliament passed a historic bill that has officially recognised the languages that once existed in Ancient Glaray through to the late 20th century. After a series of civil conflicts which caused the nation to be torn apart, in 1972, 5 years after the Glaraian Unification, a standard language combining both elements of Vieran and Imerian under the name of Glaraian was created, but this solved little problems. Today, after language changes proved to be ineffective despite being in place for over 30 years, Glaraian lost its official status and the two historic languages of the nation once again achieved its official status. Celebrations of the language changes are expected to take place over the weekend, with the Minister of Culture calling it "an important day in history for Glaraian culture."
Glaraian has lost its official status and has been replaced with: Imerian Vieran (also known as Ilativiano throughout the rest of the world)
Food Poisoning crisis in Tusaun Fine dining restaurant Di Classe, in the capital Tusaun, was the source of an outbreak of food poisoning in the capital last week. Poorly prepared chicken was found to be the cause after the chef responsible for the preparation of the chicken collapsed earlier in the day, leaving it unattended. Fortunately there were no deaths, but there were 19 hospitalisations.

ENEDA TARIFA WINS GLARAIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD Tarifa backstage with singer and friend Yllka Kuqi. The Glaraian Awards for Societal Excellence (Commonly referred to as the GASEs) were held last night. The GASEs are an annual set of awards that highlight and acknowledge Glaraians and their positive and impactful contributions to Glaraian society. Eneda Tarifa took out two of the three main awards, Woman of the Year and overall Glaraian of the Year. Her influence on Glaraian society has been huge in terms of the media, despite being a television host and personality, singer and beauty figure. Quoted from her video package recounting her contributions to Glaray's society, "Eneda Tarifa has made waves in Glaray in several ways. Her talk show @dailyeneda continues to bring to light controversial topics that are often considered taboo, such as abortion and racism. Tarifa's continued support and advocation for LGBT rights makes her a key figure in ensuring those who identify as LGBT are able to live normal lives free of discrimination. Her other television show, Tarifa Makeup Tour, continues to highlight issues of body image, self acceptance and self confidence among young women today. While the show's purpose is to provide ordinary women with makeovers, she continues to stress the importance of internal beauty and believes one cannot be beautiful on the outside without being beautiful on the inside - a message she strongly believes is necessary to advocate."Tarifa has said she 'feels like a queen', is 'living her dream' and 'wishes to continue doing good deeds for the benefit of my country.' Her television show Tarifa Makeup Tour is incredibly popular internationally in countries such as Sirenforest and neighbouring Eldance. "I feel like a queen. I was living my dream." - Tarifa after winning her awards. When asked about future projects, she responded with "I will continue what I'm doing now as it's clearly having a positive impact, however musically, I'd like to explore the possibility of perhaps participating in the Fantasia Contest." Other notable award recipients of GASEs include: HUMANITARIAN AWARD: LEDINA KRASNIQI - For almost single handedly conducting and ensuring the safety of Glaraians in Assasynia and its neighbouring countries during the Valvetian War. EQUALITY AWARD: - BESNIK ATTORE - For his continued work and advocation for increased women's and LGBT rights in Glaray. CITIZENS AWARD: - ELISA ROSSI - Her courageous actions during a school shooting in June 2015 saved the lives of hundreds of schoolchildren. ARTS AWARD: FRANCESCA TOQI - Her 2015 film Rënë (Fallen), which highlighted the issue of suicide, caused massive controversy, but is now considered to be a key element in the shift of Glaray's attitude towards suicide prevention and prompted multiple law changes regarding the issue. CULTURAL AWARD: MARCO MINICHIELLO - Minichiello's initiative, Homeland, is a leading force in connecting the Glaraian diaspora back with their homeland. Since the initiative's inception, it has helped instill basic Glaraian values into its diaspora and encourages individuals to get in touch with their culture. let's have a troll post cuz y not, happy april fool's friends

Didn't some people say that she's homophobic back in December ? I have no idea if it's true, but if yes, it wouldn't make sense to talk about her contribution to the LGBT-Rights

She criticised Conchita because she believes music shouldn't have gimmicks and should just be judged on the voice and song.

Which is still kinda stupid because in difference to other transvetite people, she doesn't "play" with the beard for example. When she performed at ESC, she could've song the same song with the same perfomance without being w transvestite, but it's just part of her appearance
