SONGS TO BE SENT FOR APPROVAL
Please note: This rule will go into effect from the 3rd edition onwards. No need to send your #2 songs to us!
Fantasia is meant to be a contest where you send original and unknown songs that you like, this helps other users discover new music that they might also like.
This is why from the 3rd edition upward, we will require all users to send songs to us for approval.
This will only mean internally selected songs, and does not mean you cannot send any mainstream songs for approval, but if you do, you're very likely to get declined.
As for national selections, these songs will be allowed on the terms that the entire selection doesn't
consist of mainstream songs.

NEW WIKIWe have decided to move the wiki from Wikia to a separate site.
All of the content from Wikia is on the new wiki, so you can continue editing from where you left off!
Any new content you add to the Wikia wiki will not be brought over to the new wiki unless you do it yourself.
Keep in mind: this wiki isn't as fast as Wikia because I'm not the owner of multiple datacenters, but it's sufficient enough for a wiki like this. Some pages may take a few seconds to load, especially if they contain many images or templates, but usually they will be cached so they will load fast the second time.
Obviously, you cannot log in with your Wikia account and have to create a new account, but it's easy and requires no email confirmation or anything like that.

RULE CHANGES
The FBA has assembled to discuss the rules of the current Fantasia Contest
and official changes have been made which are going to be presented below.
Three Semi-finals (applies from FC#3 onwards)
Due to the experiences in the first two editions, several HoD's have asked
for smaller Semi-finals in the Fantasia Contest. The FBA has therefore
decided to introduce a third Semi-final. From each of the Semi-finals,
7 countries will qualify to the Grand Final of the contest, meaning
that there will be 21 Semi-final qualifiers and 5 automatic qualifiers
making the total number of Grand Final participants 26 (one more than before).
Approval of internal entries (applies from FC#4 onwards)
Although the FBA has introduced this rule this edition, several countries
have revealed their songs without asking for approval. If happening again in
later editions, this will lead to an immediate strike and a deletion of the entry.
The FBA also revealed that they will be more strict on future decisions, making
worldwide successful acts impossible to be sent internally.
ESC National selection entries forbidden (applies from FC#4 onwards)
ESC National selection entries will be forbidden in the future because
they are not from this universe and tbh we don't even know what ESC is.
Changing of entries after announcement forbidden (applies from FC#4 onwards)
Due to the massive amount of countries changing their entries after
the announcement for literally no reason, the changing will be forbidden.
You can still change your entry if you just sent it for approval but not
after an announcement in the threads unless it breaks one of the rules.
National selections not before confirmations start (applies from FC#4 onwards)
As it happened before for no reason (because there is more than enough time),
national selections can not be started before the confirmation for the edition
has been opened.

COUNTRY BOARDS INTRODUCED
Every country of Fantasia now has an own board which can be managed by those
controlling it. There are no limits to what you do in these boards. They don't necessarily
have to to with the Fantasia Contest. You can show off how great your country is!

JUNIOR FANTASIA CONTEST
The Fantasia Contest now has an official junior companion, the Junior Fantasia Contest. It will be hosted by kev , who will also be joining the council officially now, however will mainly continue working on the Junior spin-off.YOU CAN FIND THE JUNIOR CONTEST BOARD HERE!There are a few rule changes with the Junior contest:
Artists under 16 cannot be sent to the Fantasia Contest and must be sent to Junior Fantasia Contest.
However, artists who have recorded songs before becoming 16 can be sent to the Junior contest, as long as the song was recorded before they turned 16. If an artist is sent to the Fantasia Contest, they cannot be sent to the Junior contest. So for example, JoJo can't be sent to the Junior contest, despite having recorded songs before she was 16.  Should the new voting system be introduced?This is a poll to decide whether or not the new voting system should be introduced from Fantasia Contest #05.
The new voting system refers to the voting system used by the Eurovision Song Contest since 2016.
To introduce it to the Fantasia Contest, would mean some pretty big changes in how the voting works,
and some people haven't been very happy about this when the council has asked.
As such, the poll will decide whether the new voting system will be introduced since the 5th edition,
or if the old voting system will continue to be used for the foreseeable future.
Below is some info and pros/cons of introducing the new voting system or keeping the old one.New Voting SystemThe main reason we'd want to introduce this system is because it would make the shows far more interesting,
the winner wouldn't be known until the very very end, unlike now when the winner could be known
when there's still 10 or even more votes left.
Secondly, the results will overall be more realistic and thorough. There will be a lot to look at and
a lot of comparisons or interesting facts to be noticed.
Drawbacks from introducing this system are that each user would now have to submit two separate
sets of votes, instead of just one. Though, there is no reason to combine votes and many people
have already submitted separate sets anyway. It would also be required to do split votes, and if they
aren't done, the votes wouldn't be accepted as split votes will be very important with this system.
If your biggest reason not to vote for this is that only 12 points would be announced, then that's not
a valid reason, since whether the new system is introduced or not, from the 5th edition onwards
only 12 will be shown on screen either way (8 and 10 will still be announced, just not shown like
they are now), in order to save time so the results can be finished faster.Old Voting SystemIf this option is selected, nothing would change in the way the votes shall be cast in the contest.
The only change was already mentioned and that includes only 12 points being shown on screen.
Whichever option wins will be used starting from the 5th edition. In the further future, the new voting system
will most likely be introduced regardless of the result of this poll, however it wouldn't be introduced now.

New voting system to be introduced!You have voted and the poll results are in, with 20 to 14, a 6 vote margin,
the new voting system has been selected by the users to be used from the future.
This means that the new voting system will be introduced from the 5th edition onwards, meaning
each country will be required to submit two sets of votes, instead of one (televoting and jury).
Since this is the system taken from Eurovision, obviously there will be no combined ranks needed
just simply two sets of votes in whichever way you wish to present them (top 10, full top, full jury ranks etc).
In case you have a co-HoD, they will also be able to submit their votes without them being "trampled" in any way.
A thread will soon follow which will explain the new voting system in full detail and help you vote if you have trouble.

Fantasia Contest NewsAfter the results of the 5th edition have been revealed, there are some news concerning the Fantasia Contest.New Permanent Council MemberToday it was announced that Callum would be joining the FBA Council due to his tremendous
contributions to Fantasia Contest, including the new vote-based pots and other statistics. This move
was made mainly for better communication between the council and Callum, though he will stay to
possibly help out with other miscellaneous tasks as well.Confirmations for the 6th EditionAs you may have noticed, the confirmations for the 6th edition have been closed. They will be reopening
shortly. After the confirmations reopen, we will require all countries to reassure their participation
in the 6th edition, taking place in Maronesia.
As well as this, any internally selected entries, whether they were posted or not, need to be resent to the council
for approval. Don't worry, we're not going to decline any entries, we just need this to keep track of everything as
the situation has been really messy because of the large delay with the results. If you hosted a national selection
and already picked the winner, and don't wish to rehost one, please send the winner to us for approval as well, in
the same manner as you would send an internal entry.
As for national selections, if you currently had a national selection running you can continue the selection, but
we require all national selection songs to be sent for approval as well. Again, we're not going to decline most of
them, but we need this to keep track of everything.
If you wish to change your entry or host a new selection, now is the time to do so. But please note that the
confirmations will only be open for about ~3 weeks, so you'll need to finish your selections and send your
entries in time. We will remind you, should you forget.Rule ChangesMost of these rule changes will be implemented from the 6th edition, though some of these rules
will be fully enforced starting from the 7th edition. Most of the rule changes have to do with national selections.ApprovalAs previously mentioned, all national selection songs need to be sent to the council for approval, starting from
the 6th edition. If any songs are declined and you wish to replace them, make sure you also send replacements
for approval.Cancelling/RestartingPartly implemented from the 6th edition - any selections you had before the closing of the confirmations don't count!We have seen a lot of national selections being cancelled and then restarted, possibly under a new name and format
completely. This has turned the situation messy and uncomfortable for both the hosts and users, thus, from now on
if you cancel a national selection you are not allowed to restart it or start a new selection.RestructuringPartly implemented from the 6th edition - any selections you had before the closing of the confirmations don't count!This ties in with the cancellations and restarts of selections. You're allowed to change your selection format
mid-edition, as long as you do not introduce new and unapproved songs to your selection. If you know you
wish to introduce a song at a later date (like introducing a song to a superfinal), please make sure it is approved
before you decide on this format change. You are allowed to remove songs and cancel semi-finals should
you wish to do so. Changes regarding the age of artistsAs many users have problems with finding a suitable song for the Junior Version of this Contest (JFC), the council decided to change the age limit from 15 or younger to 16 or younger.
However, artists who have recorded songs before becoming 17 can be sent to the Junior contest, as long as the song was recorded before they turned 17.
Therefore, the age limit in the adult's Fantasia Contest raises to 17 or older.
Moreover, we'd like remember that at least 50% of bands or duos in the Junior Fantasia Contest must be 16 or younger, the rest shouldn't be older than 18.
Artists which participated in the Fantasia Contest before, can't participate in the JFC anymore.
