Fantasia Contest #03 - Confirmations

Today ÁGT, the Áredivalian national broadcaster revealed that the song that our representative Melody Gardot is going to sing on the stage of the third Fantasia Contest is already chosen and is goind to be announced tomorrow in the evening!

Melody herself describes it as "a dark, emotional yet reserved blues song telling the story from the old times which is still actual now". She is completely confident that the audience all around the Fantasia will appreciate it: "Many people have said that a blues song isn't something really... competitive, you see, but that's what I am about and I'm not gonna miss the chance to share my music with so many people."

"I'm really grateful to the ÁGT team, who's been really supportive of me so far, they've never forced me to do anything I wouldn't like to, never persuaded me to choose something I wouldn't want - and after I had decided on the song I was the most confident and comfortable with, they and me, we've worked really hard with the arrangements, the performance, all this sort of things... so, I truly believe we have something which is close to perfect now" - she added.

We also have some reviews and opinions on the song, as ÁGT has shared it with a few journalists and bloggers. While most of them really praise the song itself, almost everyone is dubious of its future success - as unfortunately, it's not the genre which will make its way easily to the final.
