We also had Mozart in the main contest once.
And didn't we have the Mexican national anthem once? And there was also Bella Ciao last year. Idk which version it was, but if it's the original then it's very old too.

The thing is that there are songs with no official release date. Like some old traditional entries I sent were what we call here "songs of the public" and they were just songs that nobody knows when they were composed and who sang them first, they just became famous by people listening to them and singing them afterwards. However nobody could tell who the first one to sing them was. In general I guess it's really hard to tell which of the entries is the oldest one so far. However, there are certainly many really old ones.

^^ These things are tricky though as these older songs were made differently than they are today, and they don't really have a release date. Ciao Bella is a traditional song that was passed around from people to people and through generations and it also doesn't have a known singer. Composers that composed Mexican anthem and Beethoven composed their stuff much before it was recorded both in the 19th century, while the recordings were done around 100 years later. These days we don't really take into account when something was written, made, recorded, but when it was published. So the one I suggested had a more "tangible" release date, but others mentioned are without a doubt very old.
