What is this game about ? It's kinda hard to explain on its own, sop here's the wiki town-of-salem.wikia.com The aim of the game changes with various roles. Generally, the game splits into three different teams: the Town, the Mafia and the Neutrals. The goal of the Town (also commonly known as "Townies") is to kill or lynch all the Mafia, and other hostile Neutrals, such as the Serial Killer or Arsonist. The Mafia's aim is to kill the Town, and any hostile Neutrals. The Neutrals have a variety of goals relating to their individual roles - generally, they don't have a particular side. Deception and lying can be a massive part of controlling and winning the game, depending on the role.
Currently, the game can be played in Classic Mode, Ranked Mode, Custom Mode, All Any Mode, Rapid Mode, Vigilantics Mode and Rainbow Mode.
Classic Mode has the standard set of Roles (9 Townies, 3 Mafia, and 3 Neutrals).
Ranked Mode is for competitors and it has 8 Townies, 3 Mafia, 3 Neutrals, and 1 role that may be any of the 33 roles in the game. Playing this mode requires players to have played and completed at least 50 games.
Custom Mode allows the host to set whatever roles they want to include in the game.
All Any is self-explanatory; all the roles are 'Any' which is a randomly generated setup (eg: 14 Town, 1 Mafia).
Rapid Mode is basically a Custom Mode game where the Host can select what roles they want in the game, however, everything is at a quicker pace. You do not have time to dilly-dally about.
Vigilantics is Vigilantes vs Witches chaos, where the Vigilantes must find and kill all the Witches without dying of guilt from killing each other.
Rainbow Mode has a fixed role list which looks like a rainbow. There are fewer Town members than in other modes. |
