I decided to make this thread because there isn't anywhere to talk about Old Eurovision entries So I'll start with a question: What is your favourite song from before 2000? My answer: Hallelujah by Gali Atari, Bitaqat Hub by Samira Said, Rock Me by Riva and Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi by Céline Dion

ESC before 2000 = *-* The quality was so much better than today... especially in 1969, 1977, 1988, 1991, 1994, 1996 and 1997 My favourites would have to be Un Jour Un Enfant (1969), Je Suis Un Vrai Garçon (1994) and Ale Jestem (1997). There are loads more great ones out there too! Special mention to Nocturne - the best winner of ESC to date.

I really have to disagree tbh, the quality was so much worse than today There are really amazing songs in between and these are mostly way better than today's songs but like 90% of them are even worse than the worst ones of today's contests

Omg thank you for creating this thread I do agree with Callum , most of my favourite songs from ESC were sung during the 20th century Daniel Have you heard a lot of songs from 1956-1999 ? I have to agree that the 50's and 60's songs are mostly awful (there are some exceptions obvs), but from 1970 on there at least 6-7 really great songs each year imo

Jean Pascal Mendes I am happy that you like Riva You have to ag him that he gets a notification. You do it by writing @ + username (without a space). But not the displayed one. You'll see it by going with cursor on another persons displayed Name or on the right up per corner of the profile. An other way of doing it is the icon with the blue person.
