I doubt women in Indonesia are allowed to express themselves and their body like Anggun did in this video spot for her song Mantra? Ever seen beach parties in Bali  Not everybody might like it, but as far as I know it is not illegal in most parts of Indonesia. But maybe we should ask the expert, NoobChicken , as he's living in the country. Well, women are allowed to express themselves here, however, people dislike "too revealing" clothes, such as in Anggun's Mantra, Anggun faced some controversy when the video is released (2005) although the controversy has died today. Well, for Bali, where the majority is Hinduism, people are ok with revealing clothes there, that's why Balinese beaches are (sometimes) full of bikini-clothed women. |
