Provisional confirmation
RΓV (RΓkisΓΊtvarpiΓ°) has provisionally confirmed  Iceland's participation in the next edition.
After the semi final results were released, the HoD stated that a participation would be likely but he stated that he would like to wait until the grand final results before making a final decision.
The HoD stated:
"We're slightly sad that an Icelandic language song failed again, though we aren't that disappointed. Thanks to ElΓsabet for representing us. As for a final participation, it's not decided yet. However I can provisionally say Iceland will be in #34, however I will await the final results for a final decision."
If Iceland does participate, it's likely the song will be in English and will be selected internally.

 GPB confirms that Georgia will take part in the next competition despite the failure. Also they will use once again an internal selection system. The song and singer is already selected. The song is going to be alternative rock and performed in english. Change of plans. The next georgian entrent is going to be an artist who already tried to represent the nation in the past but with no success. The song she is going to sing will be a power ballad. |

  Confirmation or withdrawal? As today, 2nd Of April it was announced that the Armenian participation on
the future edition(s) is completely unsure.
After the low interest of the  International Music Festival #33 reaching only 7,9% on
the 2nd Semi-Final and also the low amount of the televoters reaching only 10,908 votes.
Also due to the poor results of Armenia's on the contest and  Elly's non-qualification
Because of this also our  Armenifestivalen is delayed for now untill a possible confirmation!

 Latvia confirms, and with a National Selection !After the second qualification in a row (the last time it happened was in  IMF #26, where... Samanta Tina qualified for her first IMF Final), Latvia is now able to confirm their presence in IMF #34 !Two weeks ago, the Latvian broadcaster also said that there were enough money for a National selection with 5 Songs on it, and today on a press conference, on the same time than confirming for  IMF #34, the LTV1 director and HoD of Latvia in the contest, SΓ©bastien PΔvils
, has officially confirmed that the National Selection, LatvieΕ‘u Dziesmu, is going to be held for the very first time for the contest, after more than 10 editions with internal selections !The submissions period for the entries are now opened for one week, for closing on the 9 April*
