NVSC is trying to create some kind of 'empire' but in a totally wrong way. I appreciate the fact it's a very popular contest here but first of all, if this forum becomes the NVSC one then I don't see a reason in keeping a thread for my contest here as well as it doesn't belong to NVSC and it is not managed by people from NBU either. Furthermore, you can't say that people working for NVSC work harder than any other contest manager. I am currently serving in the army, I have 2 nights only every week to spend at home and I have to work for my contest while having a life and friends outside this online world. I believe that only a few people would have to sacrifice a lot of their free tike for a contest especially when serving in the army which is something more than tiring as hell. It's logical for you to call the NBU staff hard working though as they are probably online most of the time without having a life outside this. I have been running this competition with my partner even before NVSC was created and I think our players give us the courage and the motivation to move on after so many years. I guess that this is not only my case but probably the case of some others here as well so a little bit of respect is needed. [...] someone is more successful than you. If this is meant about contest popularity and it's number of members, then there's a big difference which can't be compared, because in NVSC you don't represent your own country, like you do in WWWSC. And it's already impressive enough to gather around ~50 members from different nationalities/countries. But if we talk about realism of both contests, then WWWSC in my opinion is more realistic, because, as I mentioned, you represent your own country, not someone else's - just like in ESC. Don't take this as an offence to NVSC or anyone of you! Just wanted to tell this. |

Just saying of course there are some people who got lucky and could select their own home country (that's how it is in like every contest), but I'm talking about contest rules - in WWWSC you have to have a strong relation to the country to represent it, which you don't have to have in NVSC... just saying... |
