Eurovision Song Contest 2016 - Semi-Final 2

I agree with all the qualifiers, except Georgia. Wtf did the juries and the publix think during watching and voting for this.

Norway was robbed, she deserved to be in. I really want to know how she's feeling right now, she already had mental problems not to manage to do it and to see that she actually failed to qualify makes me sad tbh ;_;

I'm also sad for Kaliopi, her performance was very good.

So great that Jamala qualified

OK, OK, OK ... I wasn't expecting some of these results at all. Must say my opinion has changed regarding several songs tonight.

First off, the Petra and Mans cabaret performance at the beginning was FUN!! SO GOOD!!

Now, time for a full opinion on each songs:

LATVIA
Must say he gave one passionate performance!!. He did a GREAT job and truly deserved to be in the finals. My family like his name in particular . Great stuff from them!!

POLAND
He was good!! Those vocals were on point and I'M SO HAPPY he wore that Captain Hook outfit!! I liked it and he deserved to pass!! Well Done indeed!!

SWITZERLAND
That wasn't good, why did she keep squatting all the time was her back alright or she needed to loosen her bowels or something?? Grey hair doesn't suit her either she'll be up for a Barbara Dex award. Pretty weak tbh.

ISRAEL
I have to say, the staging was some of the BEST I've seen for the longest time!! His performance was BRILLIANT!! I used to hate the song but now ... IT'S GREAT!! Has to be the biggest grower for me this year already!! Oh he needed to be in the finals!!

BELARUS
He would've got through if he actually did perform naked (THANK YOU Mans for filling that void ). I liked it and it should've passed but there was too much going on in terms of effects. Shame we won't be seeing them.

SERBIA
Not the best song for me but I expected it to pass. Staging seemed too familiar to 'Molitva' with more tassels I thought.

IRELAND
That performance SUUUUUUUCKED!! WHAT happened there?? In the 'Seeeeen Light'?? Thought it would pass at first but during the performance my mind changed. Not good tbh.

MACEDONIA
She should've ACTUALLY passed!! ROBBED!! What killer vocals!! My grandmother favoured her a lot. Shame on you Europe!! Bad outfit though she deserved something more fabulous!!

LITHUANIA
Not qualifying worthy. Song isn't my cup of tea but he did do a good performance. I hate his hair though, he needs tips from Poland.

AUSTRALIA
I liked it, killer vocals with strange staging. Beautiful dress!!. Deserved to pass I like it.

SLOVENIA
One of the weirdest staging sets I've seen. Another nominee for the Barbara Dex award it was simply to simple. Never liked the song anyway it was doomed for failure.

BULGARIA
This has become another grower for me!! She did a GREAT job and WHAT AN AMAZING OUTFIT!!! The moves were on point too!! The backing vocalists coming in at the end wasn't needed though. But yeah, nice to see Bulgaria though. Now the song has gone up my estimations (SERIOUSLY need to update my top )

DENMARK
I thought this would pass through actually. Felt like it was too simple compared to some of the other acts. Oh well, I never liked the song anyways.

UKRAINE
YES ... YES ... ACTUAL ... F***ING ... YES!!!

OH MY GOD HOW GOOD WAS JAMALA!!! LOVED EVERY MINUTE of that performance!! BEST OF THE NIGHT!! EVERYTHING was on point she was simply AMAZING!! Got my votes!! WELL DONE UKRAINE!!

NORWAY
I like the song but I felt it needed more, especially performing after Jamala. Award goes to the most pointless dancer EVER she left halfway and left Agnete on her own!! Shame it didn't pass though.

GEORGIA
YES, YES, YES!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD YEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SOOOOOO HAPPY THIS QUALIFIED!! I DIDN'T EXPECT THIS TO PASS BUT IT DID AND I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!! :DDDDDD
To ESC fans that are fuming this passed, please let me have this one not often events like this happen. But yeah, I'M SO HAPPY this passed!!

ALBANIA
One word ... BORING

BELGIUM
She did a good job but I still don't like it. My mum's favourite tonight . I didn't expect this to pass at all!!

Overall, the First Semi Final was more enjoyable but this had a great intro and Mans naked!! . Much more interesting lighting effects I thought. Israel and Bulgaria have really grown on me I have to say, especially Israel. If it was up to me, switch Lithuania and Belgium for Macedonia and Belarus (and maybe Norway instead of Serbia).

Anyway, ALL the finalists have been announced and ROLL ON SATURDAY!! :DDDDDDDD

To be honest her live performance was average but the song is great and I'm happy to see them in the final again

I thought this would qualify ever since the rehearsals began and people went crazy over it, but IMO it's nothing special
Live performance was mediocre but I enjoy the song so happy to see it
Sax I mean What's the Pressure is so overrated, I find that Laura was coming across as a little try-hard and very amateurish

Her vocal was ok but the dress and her hair was gross lol, after her performance I think her fate was sealed
I must admit apart from the beginning, the effects were impressive but I knew this wouldn't stand a chance
In between Serbia and Macedonia, a bad vocal meant doom for them, and that's what happened. Wrong Byrne, I want Mary!

The live performance was actually really good but it's Slovenia and was never a serious contender for qualification from the start so I expected this
Boring song, typical boy band song
Probably the biggest surprise in terms of non qualifiers, I expected this to sail through but the staging was underwhelming

How Georgia even qualified to me is still a mystery and I am still in denial to the fact that Eneda is not in the final. I'd say more but I might just go insane so I better not.

I was a little worried because the performance was full of pain and screaming. And he was performing first. But he was vocally on point and I'm really happy for him

Obvious qualifer. The German commentator called it a surprise. Hell no. With those flawless vocals it was not a surprise at all.

Sorry, but this was not the performance the Swiss people voted for. From classy to trashy.

Really magical performance with those lights and the slow build-up to a great climax

Nudity and try-hard sexiness don't work in Eurovision. When will people understand that? (Estonia 2016 postcard, Germany 2015, Germany 2009, ...). The rest of the performance was impressive, actually.

To me, and I've said this all along, this was such a predictable non-qualifier: Song is sooo generic and his voice isn't good at all. SO happy that he failed. Sorry Ireland.

It was not pleasant to listen to. I expected a really good performance from her, but it was boring and exhausting.

I was quite surprised by this. His vocals were great. The visuals looked cool too. I enjoyed it.

Vocally, she was decent. I don't like the song at all though. Also, the acrobat was so unnecessary. And what was he even doing? Just hanging there? Yeah cool. Not.

It's a favourite and I like the song too, but her performance was a little underwhelming in my opinion. I'm really happy for her, but I don't see this finishing in the Top 10.

Good performance. I can imagine them being 11th or 12th. But only 10 can go through.

I had goosebumps. The song is so unique and the story remarkable. But I hate how the camera was always so far away when she did the high notes at the end. Nobody wants to see the stage from 2 kilometers away. Give us a close-up, please, SVT! That would be so much more captivating!

Amazing performance. All you haters need to look at it again and give it a chance. Because it was great. I had them on 40th before the show, but tonight I immediately knew they would qualify - and deservedly so!

In Albanian it would be soo much better =/ And I missed her red hair. It was a really ordinary song and performance.

Let her perform in 2nd place and she wouldn't have qualified. I'm not a fan at all, but I'm okay that she's in.

All in all, I'm really happy with the result again This year has really good results so far! There's nobody I would replace Maaaybe Denmark with Belgium, but I'm totally okay with how it is
